stop playing these champions

Very Hard Engage··1 votes·986 views

protest against riot about what they're doing or lack of doing with certain champions. its completely unfair to them of how they fit into the game, and their inabilities to perform.

the main reasoning is the following -

Why should i play this champion? what can they do? what do they do actually do? in lane? to any opponent, under what situation? in a team fight? how does it happen? Who else could do these things?

what it all comes down to is these champions are either outclassed by other champions in what they do, or are just very weak to the point where its just not enough to take an objective, dish out damage, perform cc for the team. so im asking everyone on league to boycott these champions until they see changes whether it be buffs, changes, or a total rework.

please feel free to explain in detail what these champions are going to do for the team, i really want to know. tell me how you consider each of these champions useful in what they can do. i will then tell you an all around better champion who can do what you just said, and then some.

Azir scales super hard into late game. But is more skill reliant to use.

Elise dunno, only one I feel is actually useless on your list

Gangplank Bring crit runes and you can cheese a first blood more often then you think. He also scales really well into late game and can chunk an AD carry for 90% of their health with a Q crit.

Poppy I'm guessing you never seen what happens when she hits late game? Her ult is the definition of 1v5 and winning.

Quinn Picking her top is a big middle finger to melee champions. She is a massive lane bully up there also.

Shen Split push, and ult into a fight if needed. Not hard...

Urgot With the recent buffs, Urgot is actually pretty good now. Not top tier, but he's actually good for once.

Veigar Slightly underpowered with his rework, but still gains infinite AP the longer the game goes.

Volibear Typically stacks health, and deals insane damage FOR BEING A TANK.

Zilean How many champions have an AoE stun at level 2? Also his ult is great against assassins.

azir, id rather have a kennen or a rumble. azir granted does more damage to objectives thanks to arise being usable on turrets and his dragon/baron is quite fast. however rumble puts down equalizer for a higher burst and a higher damage per second thanks to his high base and pen build. kennen on the other hand has a far superior cc with his ultimate and equally does more damage with his. azir is mana hungry, luckily both of these dont have that issue. azir depends on his opponents not being able to move or are stuck in a position where his soliders can freely attack in addition to having 3 up to outdamage other mages. other mages than azir simply delete their opponent whereas azir needs time to kill them. in addition to azirs laning phase being completley dependent on harass/poke because he is unable to win trades or kill an equal opponent early on.

gangplank, level 1 cheese goes to teemo every time https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZQis9BnsVE in addition teemos shrooms deal over 50% of the standard carries health without having to be near them or put his face in harms way, which can also be used defensively/offensively to control buffs, dragons, objectives, and prevent retreats.

poppy is completely item dependent and can only work for a max of 8 seconds. this means the enemy team will easily run away or just poke her down as her gap closer is a meager 300 units which would mean she has to flash in range to use it or else she will be kited for days. id rather have a kayle which is a targeted team life saver. alternatively if i want someone who will dive the enemy team and deal massive damage id pick a fiddlesticks, he has a silence the enemy team skill and will zhonyas preventing death while dealing even more damage, and if you say "they're not grouped up" well neither are they for poppys ult.

quinn exists as a counterpick, she can not blind pick without getting destroyed herself. in addition her late game drastically falls off to catch the one laner out of position and duel them, any team with vision can do this with a TP. quinn only gets ahead if she gets fed, any melee champion knows to give up a bit of cs and last hit under tower and wait for a gank from a jungler at which point quinn is dead because she either blows her ultimate to get out or needs to put herself in front of the enemy jungler (which wont happen because its from behind you, so you would only end up vaulting back to the enemy tower or the enemy top laner) making her a free kill, or she can flash. id much rather have a kennen again who brings awesome team fighting and in lane poke.

shen is so weak right now, "split push" does nothing for his laning phase where every champion gets their brutalizer and just destroys and harasses him because he has such weak damage output with just ki strike. if i want a tank to rely on for team fights ill take a maokai with tp anyway. survives lane better, cs's more efficiently and brings both a root and a knockup, and an aoe 20% dmg reduction for the whole team. if i want a real split pusher ill take nidalee or nasus, nasus does it much better and scales hard into late game, nidalee has escape, and better wave clear. if i want a split pushing tank ill take gnar who can also deal out damage and cc much more efficiently.

urgot has survivable laning phase with buffs, however in a team fight his damage is very lackluster and very item dependent, id much rather have a jayce who can poke and deal better damage with a knockback and a gap closer. if you want him for his surpression theres malzahar who deals much needed magic damage and %health damage which is much needed in the new tank meta.

veigar has no laning phase anymore, he just farms endlessly and depends on his team to peel for him, he can not defend himself against any ganks and if he finds himself out of position hes dead every time. his only saving grace is the infinite AP, of which he can get a bonus 400AP, but with an impossible to land W and E that leaves the immediate ult and Q, the Q of which will be blocked by minions, and if any opponent is close enough where Q cant miss, veigar is dead to cc anyway. id rather have a xerath who has the immediate stun should he get dove on, a larger reach on Q which is also faster, and higher base damages. xerath wave clears faster and is a much safer pick with his further range.

volibear is a duelist, nocturne is all around better in every way. nocturnes Q grants him a path that says hey, they went this way, in addition to having a spellshield to block cc when you go in, in addition to his ultimate which gives him superb ganking.

zilean's bombs are immeasurably easy to dodge and unreliable to use because if i stand in minions, theyll go to the closer to target, so if im constantly moving, you will always hit a minion, in addition to pushing the wave in my favor and pushing yourself further down your lane exposing yourself to ganks. zileans ult is unparalleled in use however this is all he can do. zhonyas prevents death to your midlaner, QSS or your support can also safe your adcs life should they get caught out, zilean isn't the only one who can prevent an assassin dive. heimerdinger deals more damage with rockets, and his turrets can cs for him making him much safer in addition to bringing an easier to land stun. zilean needs to land 2 lobs, heimer just one.

Ok here are things these champions can do that no other champion can do

Azir - Can kill wards at a longer range than anyone in the game, deny j4 and other dash initiates with ease Elise - spiderlings can block hooks like thresh and blitz on demand and more reliably than heimer turrets and malz voidling Gangplank - Highest Lane ranged crits in the game with global prescnce. Also the only carry in the game with a built in QSS poppy- Her ult? Her damage? like why is she even on this list Quinn- Adc who doubles as an assassin. Also the only AoE blind in the game. Shen- The only global re position skill left in the game skarner - The only champion who can move while suppressing another champion urgot - longest range targeted ability Veigar - Longest and largest non ultimate CC, damage that scales with enemy damage Volibear- Execution with flips, however the best champ you have picked on this terrible list Zilean - AoE stun and guardian angel on a 40 second cooldown

Yeah no. A lot of the champs you listed have their uses if you know how to use them properly. And that takes practice.

i'll try a few

gangplank - gobal AOE ult for zone control from across the map which can be used to hold two lanes at once quinn - unparalleled roaming power for an adc shen - can get into mid-game skirmishes from across the map, save his teammate, back to buy, and tp back to lane like he never left Urgot - the only tanky ranged ad champ Zilean - brings champions back to life with a get out of jail free ult

Most of the champions you listed aren't bad per se, they are just niche and need to fit into particular team comps with particular goals and win conditions.

which is a huge problem to work out in solo Q.

That's not really a problem. It just means that you have to know what they bring so that when you see one on your team, you know how to respond and what to expect. Saying these champions shouldn't be played at all is just narrow minded.

and the vast majority of the time ill be unable to utilize these champions at all forced to pick something else that the team needs.

Unfortunately Urgot might not go away that easily, since the professionals are playing him mid lane.
