Why Rengar is Allowed To Be The Way He Is
Rengar is allowed to jump on your carries and one shot them, because that's all he does. If he fails to do that, he's worthless.

So? Just because he's only good at doing one thing doesn't mean it's healthy.
Old Darius got reworked because he did only one thing and he did it extremely well: obliterate lane opponents who weren't smart enough or had too much pride to simply stay the hell away from him early game and wait for a gank. Then once laning phase was over he was the most useless champion you could ever have on your team unless he was fed out of his mind and was essentially worthless if the enemy toplaner wasn't 100% shut down. Both teams hated him, the enemy team because he made top lane torture and his own team too because he was useless outside of 1v1 situations and did nothing for his team other than KS and the occasional flash-hook.
You saying Rengar is allowed to have a zero counterplay 100-0 burst in 0.00001 seconds because that's the only thing he can do is no excuse for his unhealthy overloaded kit.
So...he's a nonmagical
?
LeBlanc is pretty useless in teamfights agreed, but she still has range to her advantage and at least some semblance of late game scaling thanks to Deathcap and once fed is much harder to catch out and shutdown than Darius. But other than that they are pretty similar.
I would consider
much more similar to Darius to be honest. Shoves the wave hard and has a minimal counterplay 100-0 combo once he hits level 6, but once it's time to leave lane his performance drops off horribly.
I meant in comparison to
100-0 burst assassins that can only function if they can kill a target before they can react, yea they are the same. It's poor design.
Like Katarina!
Actually I think that's like a lot of the assassin champions.
Rengar is an assassin. I fail to see the problem with his gameplay mostly revolving around assassinating and hunting people, even if it is annoying to fight against.

Champion having the ability to fail ≠ Champion is balanced.
I didn't say he was balanced, I just said he's basically a one trick pony. While he does lack some counterplay besides placing down pink wards, all he can do it kill 1 enemy that's out of position.
Putting a pink down doesn't really help all that much if he's already ahead, he still just jumps on a squishy with all of that move speed and presses buttons and they die.
if talon is ok. so is rengar
