Garen rant

Garen is a safe pick, but I think he is too much of a safe pick. He can soak a lot of damage really early on, and unless you can out trade him, or out sustain him, it is hard to win a lane against him. The issue though is how much burst damage he can put out. The nerf they gave him on his Q is laughable, Garen had 54-55% win rate on OP.GG for 8.16, and this is the nerf he gets?

Wukong had 53-55% win rate in 3-4 lanes and he got hit from every angle, both damaging abilities, his main runes (domination), his core item (Duskblade)… and yet although Wukong had potential to win so many games if the enemy team was careless, he was far from being a safe pick.

Garen isn't broken, just an extremely reliable pick, and apparently Riot likes it that way. If I can't beat these favorited champions I am about to join em' lol.

Play ranged against him.

I would have to grow my champion pool then.

That is a good idea.

It is a tough idea when I've one tricked Wukong from S5 and climbed from the lowest depths of Bronze with him q.q I will try senpai

Sorry man, you want to get better, you have to branch out at times.

Doran shield + his passive + dmg reduction... No way you gonna poke him out of the lane. And at lvl 6 ,hes gonna 100-0 you under your turet.

It's actually INCREDIBLY easy to poke him out of lane, his passive is shit until 11 and if you know what you are doing, you can make it so he doesn't even touch you during laning phase.

wukong made the mistake of showing up in LCS and beating yasuo in a game. garen is smart enough to stay out of the LC$ spotlight

That's the general consensus now xdd Feelsbad

Garen's kit is too basic and binary to be playable at that level.

here's a tip for beating Garen, as my sister says ''Just right click in the other direction and there isn't much he can do to chop ur headtop''

you can poke him sure but the flash + q + e + ignite + ult has no counterplay and no skillshot

Actually there is counter play. Don't huddle together, maintain good vision control, expect the Wukong and prepare for it (saving summoner spells, heals and stuns), make sure your team comp doesn't consist of mostly squishy champions, punish Wukong's bad early game.

The only thing I can think of that sets Wukong apart from typical assassin is that he deals significant AoE damage. Assassins normally delete a squishy with little out play potential, especially when they snowball a lead. Is 1.5 seconds of invisibility with a 18 second CD really worth all this crying over? There are much better forms of invisibility In the game.

I can understand that Wukong deals great AoE damage, and uses invisibility to make outplay more difficult, but at the same time he does have clear weaknesses. he deserves to be good at something. If he doesn't delete a squishy with little to no armor with a full skill rotation, while being a spell caster and building full AD, what good is he? He will have a weak lane phase, and a subpar mid-late game. He needs the damage to be relevant. Wukong does not need nerfs, instead he needs changes to his kit. It is actually quite simple what Riot should be doing with Wukong in my opinion.
