I don't understand how to combat funneling in solo queue

Is there some legitimate way to combat funneling or do I have to perma ban yi and Lulu?

Banning Yi in soloQ is never a bad idea. He may get worse in high elo but not bad enough to ignore. Banning Lulu is kinda pointless.

As the jungler I would think warding the lane and counterganking would be good, Lulu is underfed. Unless Yi is fed enough.

You need a tank support or a jungler with alot of cc. Try sej, ivern, nunu and I think trundle can duel him early but I'm not sure. Also, if your team has a malzahar, that's also really good.
