i dont even want to get into about the fact the client takes more RAM than the actual game itself. don't even want to get into people dodging forcefully because the client somehow fucks them over. it's not a 1 time thing but it happens too constantly to ignore. stop brainstorming patch notes, stop brainstorming about skins, start fixing what is so essential to the game.
Just got a crash rn after seeing this post I'm pretty sure my atari or my old nintendo consoles can run better than this client from the medieval times. XDDDDDD
$900 off the shelf PC. Never had a single client crash or framerate issue.
Stop buying these massively overclocked custom PC's with crap tons of funky ass drivers, or upgrade your PC from 2010 if that's the issue. Hell the client only uses 650mb of ram. That's a 1/3 of an internet browser with a few tabs open these days. 16gigs of ram is rather standard these days.
I mean I generally have LoL, War Thunder(Or Conan Exiles), Discord, 10-15 Chrome Tabs, OBS, and Steam running and see zero slowdown or crashing. Hell it's 2019, if your OS isn't installed on an SSD and you're running 8gigs of ram or less I don't know what to tell you.

my game crashed last night because I got a level of honor during the loading screen and the client freaked out, then I log back in and my game has the sparkle sound from a notification popup thing going on nonstop in a loop. Grade A stuff from a company that clears over a billion dollars each year.
I'm amazed that the client has been this terrible for so long.
There have been so many remakes this year because someone crashed in the loading screen and couldn't get back in. That's a major problem that they need to fix above everything else.
Any available resources should be spent optimizing the client and fixing bugs that have been around for so long now. Riot is a massive company, they can do it if they really set their resources to it.

The client seems to get worse by the day. I've a good 40-50% chance than when a game starts it won't even launch the game. I almost never dodge games but often enough that the client won't let me lock in my champ, sometimes it won't let me change summoner spells, and other times it won't let me change rune pages.
There's about a 30-40% chance that a game ends in a remake because someone, somewhere, won't load in.
I miss the legacy client a lot.
I feel like the client from years ago was much more stable surprisingly.
In the past years my client only crashed twice. So it is your computer and not the client. Reinstall everything, buy a new computer, and git gud in IT. The game is absolutely perfect as always, and it is your fault, that it doesn't work properly.
I hate that when it loads up or if a game starts (champ select) any Video Im streaming (netflix, hulu) will freeze and lose connection. I have to refresh the page to get it to play again. Its the stupid client that eats all bandwidth.

I rarely have crashes but I'm so tired of the new design flaws. Having to click through fullscreen quest pop-ups that take ages to animate after a game, after having waited for a full minute for the stats to load, is just too annoying.
I remember having a jab at a certain online footy game thinking 'Oh god all these stat pop-ups after the game, I just want to go next' . Thank god league doesn't have this sht, just nice and clean, straight to lobby.
