Melees carry have finally a good itemization
we have RFC that can be build to push without an ADC with for example 
ranged's ADC base AD might be nerfed
can we finally hope to play 
or some kind of melee DPS instead of ADC bot?

and that's why gangplank has aoe 80% slow 1k damage later in the game every few seconds with 600 range

he is, and his defense power is his range+ cc cleanse, but he is rewarded for hitting someone in melee with his passive who deals high true damage.
