"X is a late game hyper carry so they have a weak early game"

Then X just loses early

"X is an early game bully and lacks power late game"

Then X just snowballs the game and there won't be a late game

"Yeah but its a team game"

And? I guess the team with the early game bully are just going to sit on their hands and wait for late.

Accommodating to the champ's strength's and weakness's usually helps.

In my experience, a late game carry can still go even if they are smart. And they are winning if they go even. However, that still leaves them vulnerable to Jungle intervention. (Usually their to insure the snowballer actually snowballs)

But in team comps. The main way to make sure a Behind, carry catches up is to stall for time. But Riot has done a pretty good job of removing stall tactics. Usually focused around Baron, where the minion buff makes it harder to clear the minions in a siege. Also cause Dragons offer a permanent bonus, and they usually go to said snowballing team.

Still, A hypercarry who falls behind, still has it better than a bully who fall behind. (Cause they will stay behind.

In a perfect game play your logic is probably true, this is maybe why we don't see kog, Vayne, tris often in lcs

...Kog is a staple of LCS. Mostly because coordinated teams can make an effort to stall games out to late game and protect-the-ADC comps revolving around Karma and Lulu are stupidly strong and have been since Season 2.

Yes, that is exactly what they do, from Bronze up to High Platinum.

Or they run off alone because "Me super fed me gonna 1v5 naaaoow! Get to da Choppa!"

Or they chase a kill without vision because KDA > win, get killed with a 50s Deathtimer, and all that advantage goes "poof".

Or they get into an argument with their teammates and "open mid!" just because their 12year old ego got hurt.

All these things happen.

I used to always pick late game champions because I felt they were the most important. However, recently I'm finding that many games don't even make it to late game. Even as a late game champion if you are even with your lane opponent, there are 4 other champions willing to feed that will cause the game to never make it to late game status. And the biggest problem now is late game is now like 30 minutes. Holy shit why do I have to wait so long just for a boost? No one wants to wait that long to be relevant.

I pick late game champions and realize that 80% aren't too weak early
