So let me get this straight about reporting

GenoXx··3 votes·943 views

So basically, If you're teammates refuse to help you during the game_ intentionally,_ which also makes you frustrated_ and_ make you act negative towards them, It gets you reported for negative attitude? So we're not going to even acknowledge the premade duo support bot lane that would not help me both times I was ganked in jg. Which also included one of their lane partners. We're not even going to look at them intentionally not helping(because their statements throughout the game prove so also) We're going to send me a notification saying that I've been reported recently about my negative attitude? Like what the actual fuck? Many times i have reported someone who actually deserved to be reported. And nothing happened. Many times I have been trolled and had to suffer a lost because of it. If this is how they Tribunal system work then whats the actual point of reporting If they're just going to just look at _you're _ created frustration and Attitude gained from dealing with players like these?

I just had a Shaco top report me for saying "you provide nothing for the team comp.". It's pretty stupid how false reports will still get you closer to the punishment threshold.

I posted more on this here.

He isn't obligated too, He is only obligated to play a champion to the best of his abilities, your line of thinking would make it OK to talk down to a player for picking any non meta champion, and Riot isn't going to let that happen,

That has nothing to do with it. I'm not saying he has to pick a meta champion or even a viable champion. However, I am allowed to have the opinion that Shaco top offers nothing to a team comp. compared to picks like Tryndamere, Irelia, Ryze etc. This is not verbal abuse and not all opinions must be favorable. This is merely referring to the pick rather than the player himself and does under no form qualify as verbal abuse. The Shaco player may not like my opinion but it is absolutely not verbal abuse and to report it as such should get said player punished.

The time for offering that opinion is in champ select, or as constructively phrased criticism after the game. During the game, saying something like that is both too late and looks to me like you're being rude for no good reason. Shaco provides damage and small zones of control if he can place his boxes correctly. So, as long as everyone else didn't pick selfish, pure damage champions, he's not totally useless, even if you feel someone else may have been better.

You have a right to your opinion and I have a right to mine. A differing or dissenting opinion isn't verbal abuse and the discussion was initiated by him anyway. I don't have to like our comp. or champ. picks and be a cheerleader about everything. That doesn't mean I'm typing "gg surrender" or similar toxic comments.

However, to say one can no longer express an unfavorable opinion on certain game elements is beyond ridiculous and borders on fascism. Just because you don't like someone's opinion doesn't make it harassment. People often blur this line and report simply because they dislike what someone's saying even when it's not harassment or anything of the sort. That qualifies as abuse of the report feature.

it's already been stated before (somewhere I don't remember where) that all those who are found to be in violation of the summoner's code in a report are punished just the same even if the report wasn't intended for those individuals.

I find this very hard to believe. Because I see players liek this all the time. And It's not like I intentionally just start flippin out or being negative for no reason. It's always a reason. And what is this summoners code? Somehow I don't think intentionally being uncooperative fits this because that premade bot lane obviously did not get a notification of some sort about their recent behavior

I understand if you don't believe me since I can't provide proof but I know I read it somewhere. Also the summoner's code is something you agreed to abide by when you signed up for this game -.-. You could have signed your life away!!!!!!!!!!!!

Riot makes it clear, if they are trolling in game report at the end and move along, you are never justified in harassing/Teasing/Insulting/Bullying your team mates or enemies,

GenoXx1 votes

It's not justified no, bu it's unavoidable. Bullying is different, but the insults is something found in everygame

Thanotos Omega1 votes

Look if you just lost it one time cuz things went bad, Riot get's that that's why you have to say some really heinous things to earn a ban in one game of toxic behavior, they know good players slip up, they warned you so you would see that they are watching, and help you remember to stay calm, you aren't likely to get banned for this one game, so stay calm and try to do better,

The notification actually doesn't mean anything. It only tells you you've been reported. It doesn't actually punish you, that's a different system that actually checks to see if a player needs to be punished.

GenoXx1 votes

It's being closed to being punished is what I'm worried about. I'm not a toxic player but people's actions will make you become/Negative or toxic. And I fee like riot's just waiting for you to jump shit so they can "Punish you"

EffectFX1 votes

And I'm telling you that the notification merely tells you that you've been reported and nothing else. Punishment is handled by a separate system and takes those reports and sees if you actually need a ban. If you're either entirely silent or courteous during a match then chances of you getting punishment is extremely low. You start insulting people and that chance will increase exponentially.

If you can't keep your temper with Internet strangers, then you deserve the time out Riot may give you. Two wrongs don't make a right, even if they totally deserved it! Even if the skirt was REALLY short! Even if he had a grin that just asked to be punched!

I don't see how people aren't getting it. There is never a need to be toxic. First and foremost this is a game that all players of every skill level play. Your going to get pissed/rage/etc.. You don't have to say anything in chat though

Yes, it's called "Don't fight fire with fire"

What do you expect? It's not like after you reported the guy, a Rioter would happily send you a notice like "Congratulations! The player you recently reported has been permanently banned!"
