Not death! But METAL!!!!

I don't have a problem with mord in bot. I think the idea of a non-traditional ADC is a great idea, however Mordekiser is a terrible choice to do this with because his theme is so problematic both for balance and story. Why go the rout of death instead of metal? I think he would be far more interesting if his identity was pushed farther into the realm of metal control instead of death control. There are already a bunch of champions that manipulate/control death we don't need another one. Yes his ult is cool and I think there is a place for it in LOL, but it seems to me that his half-death half-metal theme is his major problem. So, drop the death part and push him further into the realm of metal and melee bot carry. I understand that his ult would no longer be the same but instead of letting him control champions/dragons let him make a straight up metal dragon that he controls just like the normal dragon. If his ult is changed to this there would be a lot of power from the missing current ult would lose but it could be used to balance him into a Lord of Metal instead of a Lord of Death.

I mean his name has always been Lord of Death..... Literally:

Morde means death

Kaiser (Kaizer) means lord/emperor

He's still more heavily themed around pain, suffering and death than he is around metal.

He always has been like that.

I'll agree that the title change is lame, mostly because Mordekaiser means death lord.

death lord the lord of death. morde is seeming more and more like a mary sue oc everyday

He's always been the edgelord OC of metal, death and badassery, if you really want to perceive him like that.

its just the name that bothers me. like yeah morde is dumb and broken but at least before his title didn't sound like something a 13 year old would come up with.

Less so that his title is so simplistic, and more so that it's redundant with his name.

Originally he was funny and charming and over the top, though, like Metal itself. Making him srsbsns is a mistake.

Same quotes, same motif, the only real differences are that his W doesn't look like it was rendered by PS1 and his E doesn't feature maces popping out of the ground and pulling a Johnny Cage on everything in range.

He has two lines related to metal, both regarding music, while the rest of what he says is indicative of a lord and/or pain, suffering and death.

You don't even see the secondary title in-game, so it's basically the same guy. You don't have to worry about him being any more serious than he was until he gets more voice-acting.
