So riot, when will you reinforce turrets?

Admit it. Turrets are like paper this season. They suck so bad that they make competitive games freaking boring. Dragon stacks that now makes you take less turret damage will litterally make turrets useless against champions. Alistar will 2x less turret damage + ult = no damage against turrets. They are completely useless in any way, making you not safe to stay close to turrets.

My proposed changes for the sake of the community and the sake of LCS:

  • Make turrets armor and magic resist the same when no enemy minions are close for the first 8 (or less) minutes of the game. In other words, turrets should have the reinforced armor passive permanentlt in the first minutes of the game.

  • Turrets damage should scale HARDER minute per minute, starting at 5 minutes, making it hard to tower dive after that.

Outer turrets should scale to 220 AD, starting at 155 AD. Then +5 AD at 0:30 then every minute until 220 AD.

Inner turrets should scale until 300 AD, starting at 190 AD. Then +5 AD at 8:00 then every minute until 300 AD.

Inhibitor turrets should scale until 310 AD, starting at 200 AD. Then +5 AD at 8:00 then every minute until 310 AD

Nexus turrets should scale until 350 AD, starting at 225 AD. Then +5 AD at 10:00 then every minutes until 350 AD. They should also have +90% armor penetration, instead of 75% only.

For a person who has played DOTA and (DOTA all stars) this is still a generous amount of turret damage and a generous amount of health. The reason of the towers yes is provide protection but a well planned tower dive should still be possible. As for the matter of the dragon I agree it should be changed. Fourth dragon reducing 30% damage isn't disastrous but that doubles at five dragons. Which brings it to 60% which yes will close out games faster (which is the motive for this move) but essentially makes your team a train and you don't play chicken with a train. 15% base damage reduction at 4 dragons should be sufficient but not unstoppable.

Turrets early game are perfect, late game they do insignificant damage to any champion. Buffing the damage overtime will make them alot stronger and nexus turrets will become alot fearsome for tanks due to the increase of the armor penetration.

Late game the turrets are there for you to protect, not the other way around.

Damage reduction is multiplicative, so Alistar will always take at least SOME damage from a turret.

That's not technically the point. My point is that turrets, after that buff, they do insignificant damage and it makes almost no protection for the team defending it.

When was the last time you saw a team coordinated enough to get to five dragons? I'm lucky if my team goes for ONE. If a team has enough of their strategic business together to siege their way to five dragons, but can't get into the base, the buff helps end the 50+ minute suffering-fest that the game has become.

Agreed

They nerfed the resistances but increased the health by around 100-200% (depending on tier of turret). I think it's about the same. Anyone gets 15-20 seconds free on a turret they are most likely gonna do damage, unless you are ryze singed or galio
