I miss Inspiration

Inspiration:

 While near an allied champion with a higher level, grants 10/20 experience every 10 seconds

I like a lot about the new masteries...but as a support main I really miss inspiration. Sure, it didn't seem like a lot of EXP but it really added up over time and helped keep the support's level near their allies. This was extremely helpful when roaming as you could recap that lost exp after hanging around your allies for a bit. Lately, I have been having support games where I am 2-6 levels lower the the highest champion. Before it was 1-3 (being 3 levels behind was a really bad game). I've had games were my ADC and I are carrying and I'm still 2 levels behind. With the changes to the game it seems like as a support I have to constantly play at a much lower level then the rest of the players in the game and I'll be honest...its an awful feeling to look at the score board and think,"damn how did I fall so far behind?". I would take solace in the fact the enemy support would be about my level or one of us would be a level ahead but it seems like a huge level gap lately.

I feel like I am punished for roaming now as there isn't anyway to recap that lost exp if the roam doesn't net a kill. As a support main we need to take time away from lane to ward the jungle and river and while we do that EXP is lost to us. I didn't really get this feeling until the preseason and I thought it was just the jitters of adjusting to the new patches but it just seems to be getting worse. I just had a game I won and the poor enemy Sona was lvl 9 at 24 minutes! She was 3 levels behind her adc and I've experienced this phenomenon as well. It's not like she wasn't in teamfights or working with her allies. She would shadow me if she could, help her ADC when needed and be in a teamfight when they broke out. I know when you are losing you fall behind in levels as a team but not such a high difference between the support and the ADC on the same team. We used to have a tool to recapture that exp but it has been taken away and I feel it was something overlooked. I wish we could have Inspiration back.
