Aatrox help

Hello everyone,

Would love some resources about Aatrox. Despite his sudden rise to fame as a meme and garbo champ, I'm getting back into playing him more (Used to be a successful Aatrox main back in season 4 and 5). Are there any popular or well-known Aatrox mains on Twitch or in pro-play? I would love some help on his matchups and how to lane with him when I get absolutely booty bopped in lane (mostly struggle against ). Worst case scenario, I can just use op.gg and mobafire for some help. Thanks in advance!

All of the top Aatrox mains are in Plat. They arent any in challenger or Diamond as far as Im aware

I'd say he's better jungle :p. Prepare 3rd W hit on camps/crab then gank and deal 50% of the enemy hp while they're knocked up. Always start blue > gromp then drag gromp halfway to wolves (to keep passive).

Max R>W>Q>E and you can build either item 1413 ( you prob want item 3153 if you do that) or item 1419 > item 3748 . You'll mostly leave camps with the same/higher HP than you started them with (activate W till passive then just heal).

If you REALLY wanna play him top ... good item 3123 luck item 3076

Currently the highest elo Aatrox is The Best Aatrox he is diamond now (was challenger), but he doesn't stream. You can try watching coolkipp, but he is toxic and plays Lissandra as well.

Check out https://www.reddit.com/r/AatroxMains/ for all of your Aatrox needs. For streams, there is a D1 Aatrox main, Mr Tank, and I think he still streams, not sure though.

Like TheHappyReaperz mentioned, check out the reddit forum first and if you ever need additionally help, join the Aatrox discord which is linked on the reddit.

There are definitely good mains out there, you just need to be critical in what you take in though. There's a lot of different Aatrox 'advocates' that are hard stuck in their ways and only building and playing a certain way.

I'm more of a 'free' main, so I always build according to match up and scenario. Typically - Bork + Cleaver into psuedo tank items (pd, maw, dd, etc) will be sufficient for most match ups but for the tough match ups like Jayce and Pantheon I think I tend to do my Titanic build more (Titanic -> zerkers -> cleaver/maw/bork -> etc) which revolves around pseudo tank but in a more immediate nature so you can turtle out of lane.

Garen and Wukong I find to be pretty easy match ups unless they're rocking extremely cheesy things like high ad + lethality + thunderlords + ignite cheese.
