Is Nunu even good, how do you build him and where does he go, like in terms of lane?

You go jungle and make sure the enemy jungle doesn't have any fun.
He can go virtually any role except ADC, but mostly excels as a Jungler because of his decent clear times. His build path can be AP offtank in my opinion, but some newer builds have him go full tank plus Titanic Hydra
HE,as his Q may say, is a jungler. you generally go tanky as late game your Q from minions and stuff heals like 700 HP to peel and your Q around lv 7 if you max it is comparable to a lv18 smite. and with his W he can get a lot of assists as it buffs people for move/attack speed and his E is...a slow bot key
Support or jungle. To play him support is to acknowledge you are merely the ADC's seventh item, but that can be the difference in winning and losing the game. His jungle isn't what it used to be. I had 100% winrate with jungle satan in seasons 3 and 4, granted my stats will be skewered by support and top Nunu. It was a different time. You built spell vamp, stole every camp the second it popped, and solo'd dragon and baron every chance you got. It was truly disgusting.
It's weird, he's classified as a support, but has a kit most configured to be a jungler. IDK, I want him to receive a VGU after Eve and Urgot, but that's just my opinion. Thanks for the clarification!
nunu is a jungler...
he is a control/counter jungler who has supportive qualities with a targetable slow on E and aoe slow on R and attack speed/movement speed buff on W
his Q consumes monsters/minions/pets etc but does not work on champions
he has the 2nd highest win rate at jungler right now @54.51%
his most common build is pure tank
