Poppy's new anti-dash field is really cool stuff. Will we see more anti-dash fields in the future?

I've only gotten in one round with the new Poppy (and lost because I had to AFK to bring in frozen groceries), but Steadfast Presence is REALLY useful against hyper-mobile opponents like Riven, Yasuo, Lee Sin, Rengar, etc. You could pretty much describe it as a big "F@#$ YOU!" to all the mobility creep that's going around. Too bad it doesn't work on blinks (but that's intentional for counterplay reasons).

I really hope Poppy and Azir won't be the only Champions in League to have anti-dash moves (Poppy's W, Azir's ult), and that maybe we should eventually get a support Champion who hard-counters hyper-mobile opponents with an anti-dash field or mechanic.

Anybody agree with this thought?

Let's just pretend Veigar doesn't exist then or can't be played as support.

Veigar support is lousy.

Idk zoning teams is huge and just blowing up a mid laner and getting AP from assists is pretty good. You just can't be stupid aggressive. He plays a lot like Janna or Braum. You play passive unless you are winning.

Just to jump in, in case you missed it, Steadfast Presence stops one dash per champion. It works wonders on Lee Sin, for example, but Yasuo and Riven and the likes aren't particularly affected.

Against Riven, it can actually be really devastating as it could interrupt her E, which she uses for animation cancels.

I honestly doubt it that we would get too many new anti-dash fields.

Poppy having an anti-dash field makes her extremely unique as a champion. Add in another anti-dash field, and she becomes less unique, and gives her something that she has to compete with another champion to use.

Also, don't forget that we have some other champions with anti-dash mechanics that you didn't mention, such as Malzahar's Nether Grasp, Lissandra's Frozen Tomb, and Veigar's Event Horizon, all of which stop dashes.

The ability still does damage and stun enemies that dash into it, making it a pretty good way to disable them for a bit. Think of it as a conditional stun that also happens to stop dashes.
