Guys counter picking does matter. If you pick Veigar into Fizz, you're going to have a bad time.

It doesnt. Its bronze or silver. Skill negates anything and everything. Only time it matters is in high elo.

No it doesnt. It really really really doesnt. Silver/bronze players make tons of laning mistakes you can capitalize on.

Yup, it really doesn't as long as you are good at the champion, you can beat something that is considered a counter.

depends, if i pick my main into a hard counter, im going to have a rough time.. then im way more reliant on my team which in silver can be either really good or really bad

Actually there have been people who have analyzed this and there is only about an 8% increase of winrate by just doing counter pick. Picking a champ you are great with is better than one you are ok with even if the ok one is a counter

No offense to you, but counter picks really mean VERY LITTLE in lower elos. Skill really is the deciding factor. I mean im pretty sure if I play Leblanc against a silver Diana, I would still win.

It's not so much about winning your lane, it's about knowing that you're in an unfavorable matchup and not feeding, playing safe, farming it out, waiting for ganks, etc. You can get counterpicked in lane and still win team fights later on.
