POLL: What is Riot's most balanced meta so far?

People don't say season 1 because they weren't around during season 1.
Season 1 is the greatest Era of LoL. It was before Riot got a boner for assassins. Akali, Kat, and Kass were the only assassins in the game. Mobility was a unique feature, Stealth champions had more of an impact on the game (Remember how Twitch and Eve's stealth used to work?) The jungle was perfect.
Since Season 1 LoL has been run by a bunch of fucktards with ADHD that don't know a good thing when they see it.
Anything except the Assassin Meta is fine
They are getting there. Slowly but surely.
S2 was great, i could play any champ and do great. Only ad-casters had a bit hard time due lack of proper items. I did well with bruisers like shy and rene top, but also with carrys like Jax or Irelia while still haveing good games with tanks like mao, and toplane(old) karma worked just as well. While jungleing with off picks was nearlly impossible, the champs that could deal with the jungle actually were all woth playing, some scaled up, some killed the enemie jungler, some ganked like no tomorrow. The nice thing in S2 was that tanks/bruisers had better endgame items and overall the game was less earlygame focused.
I vote "tank meta" (as in, tanks are viable picks-meta). What Cinderhulk did was just raise the general power level of tanks. And I think the current iteration of Cinderhulk is the most balanced one, the one that keeps jungle tanks viable while still enabling other picks to thrive.
Sejuani and Gragas are just outliers that were also quite strong pre-Cinderhulk, due to receiving a lot of buffs over the course of a dozen patches. That leaves them at a higher level compared to their peers, and raises them over everyone else if the class' whole power level is upped.
I'll say Tank Meta because that's the only meta I've experienced at length other than Assassin Meta.
And let me tell ya, being blow up instantly every 5 seconds... it ain't fun.
I honestly don't like calling our current meta a Tank meta, just because they're being played means it's a tank meta, as opposed to the Assassin meta where every game had 2-3 assassins and having no front line meant you had more damage.
That being said, I do feel like the current "tank meta" or whatever you want to call it is the most balanced meta yet.
Started before Season 1, granted I played on and off up until around S3 when I got a good computer. And I'm not even high ranked, I typically stick to normals. Take my opinion with whatever amount of salt you wish.
Pre S1 was stupid, very fun, but still stupid. There simply wasn't a meta, sure you had the "professional" scene playing whatever it was but nobody really followed it due to being everchanging. Then again I was pre 30. Maybe I was missing out on some leet strats like the dreaded murderbush or... "warding", whatever that was.
S1... See Pre S1.
S2 was pretty fun, similar to the current meta, lot's of champs were viable, but with the champion release schedule at the time... "Oh hey, it's been 2 weeks, whose the new champ? This guy looks inter- OH GOD WHAT WAS RIOT THINKING"
S3 ... Strangely I don't remember much of S3. It was balanced but I don't recall it being very high on variety. With the change to armor/MR pen though tanks were clearly being phased out quickly.
S4, Screw S4. If I wanted to play a twitch reaction game I'd play CoD. Not to say it wasn't fun to not have to worry about tanks for awhile but it was so mindless.
Aaaand here we are at S5. Damage comps still work, but you definitely have a tradeoff if you lack a front line. Whilst all tank teams, while definitely oppressive if you constantly try to fight them, do have their own downsides; tanks tend to lack mobility, so weak to say, split push or aggressive objective control. Every champ seems to have their place since S2, except now we know where to put them.
actually tank meta is the most balanced if you look at it objectively. yea, it kinda sucks some of the games, but having like 10+ really viable junglers, some toplaners, many midlaners, some adcs and supports is more balanced than seeing kassadin and ahri every game, or lucian and cait after lucs release
