Interest in lore is dying
Nobody ever comments or goes on lore threads anymore... compare hot on lore threads to hot on gameplay and balance... the comments difference is crazy Why does nobody come here anymore?

With how little new lore is produced and Riot continually changing the background of characters, talking about the lore feels meaningless and anything that does matter has already been discussed.
New champions lack lore so any discussion about them only relates to 1 or 2 points that can't be fully answered because no one knows how Valoran is right now (is everything at war? And if not how have they not killed each other yet?)
Any talk about old lore falls into the same group since no matter how many people like a contain event Riot could just change it without a care of your opinions.
Discussion of lore feels meaningless, since nothing ever comes out of it with how Riot currently is treating the lore.
Because Riot decided not to have lore anymore? (they decided to have lots unrelated, AU stuff separate from the game, with no real connection to each other)
Also because they didn't do anything substantial for more than 9 months (atleast I think it's been that long?).
What's the point in writing anything about the lore if the people responsible for it decided to fuck it with a sledgehammer? People are tired. There is no reason to write anything in that matter, because it will never be addressed as long as those lazy wimps continue to work in Riot Games.

Idk what the lore team is doing all this time but they're constantly saying "huehue we've got so much lore coming out soon, just wait man"

That's because if we ever grasp a good concept or w/e it gets dumped down and not used in the official lore because "writers don't like using others ideas" meanwhile they just stay quite in their rooms enjoying their paycheck.
They keep screwing up the game play and balance. People need to spend their time complaining about the game, before they have time to talk about the story.
Riot needs to hold a contest. Fans submit a few chapters of a book set in the LOL world. Winner gets commissioned to write a full-length novel. It expands the lore, and they can pay the author in RP or something. I'd like to see an ongoing series set in the universe.
