What determines how much LP you get after losing a series?

it's as if you were playing normal ranked games....so if you go 1-2, you get and lose LP like a normal win and 2 losses starting at 100

What was your win-loss pattern and what has your LP gains and losses been? I thought that the system still kept track of your LP behind the scenes but it was capped at 100. So if you your LP gains/losses were 20, L+W+L = 80/100/80, W+L+L = 100/80/60.

My pattern was Win, Loss, Loss. Which makes it bizarre, unless LP counted beyond 100 for the purpose of the series
