Making Wit's end worth getting again and returning Bloodrazor to the game in a better form.

So basically this is a request to have Wit's end have it's season 2 stats back

Build from Recurve Bow + Null-Magic Mantle + 700g = Wit's end 2100 42% attack speed 42 on hit magic damage 26 MR Melee only unique passive:Madness - after auto attacking this item grants the owner 4 MR stacking up to 4 times (fully stacked this item would give 42 MR) (no longer shreds enemy MR since lets be honest in adding that to wit's end killed it in the first place for anything that isn't teemo, WW, kayle or Udyr)

Now for madred's Bloodrazor it is a bit of a different angle from the old version which in reality is kinda needed to make it worth actually getting Wit's end + Raptor Cloak + 300g = madred's Bloodrazor 3400 50% attack speed 50 magic damage on hit 40 armor 30 MR 150% base health regen Melee only Passive UNIQUE :Madness auto attacks grant 5 armor and MR stacking up to 4 times. (max 60 armor and 50 MR provided by this item) Passive UNIQUE - POINT RUNNER: Grants +30% bonus movement speed that build up over 2 seconds when near turrets.

Only champ that is likely to break this is WW but he is high on the rework list last I heard so being nerfed more if this item broke him would likely be the best option.

That helped Wit's End modernize in face of other choices and make it a potential alternative to Kingblade. Adding cool things to items usually helps them out, especially if it's in-line with what the item does.

That's way to much stuff.

Most item designs in LoL are sleek and sexy, describing the boons an item gives in as minimalistic a space as possible.

IE, Rabadon's, Warmog's, Rod of Ages, Lich Bane, Frozen Mallet, Thornmail, Bloodthirster - a lot of LoL items focus on fullfilling a specific niche and purpose rather than serving every stat possible. Which is nice considering there's 100+ items and you can build any item you want. Making every item a typical RPG piece of armor that grants armor, resist all, your primary stats, some boosts to crit, life steal, and mobility is not ideal - that's more a design path you take when the only choice between 1 item or another is "which one has more stats?"

Obviously there's a few items like Athene's (RIP) that offer a conglomeration of bonuses - but you can still describe that item as "spam spells". While it had multiple lines of bonuses, they were essentially all mana regen and CDR.

Granted, there's also Trinity Force - but that item's niche is being the everything item, I really don't see why there should be another.

Anyways - this item strikes me as an attempt to cram an entire 3+ slot build into a single slot, at the expense of clarity and item diversity.

No it deleted it as a viable option for a lot of champs and made it godly for all of 3. WW, Teemo and kayle with some Udyr getting it now and then since he has enough magic damage to make use of it. All of them could make good use of Wit's end before the magic shred was on it.

If you do not know or don't remember Malady use to be an item that had flat on hit damage plus an AP ratio that part went to nashor's and nashor's has become a godly item because of it. Then the magic shred on it passive was given to wit's end and wit's price was increased to justify this added power on an item that was actually bought by a a lot more then just on hit magic damage champs before this passive was added to it.

Champs who do not do a lot of magic damage would buy wit's when it had a cost of 2000/2100 because it allowed them to have some magic resist and some magic damage. The price increase to 2400 for a passive that they will never use made it better to just get other items instead of thinking about this item. It only got worse with higher prices since it was often rushed to contend with enemies who were mostly magic damage but that was no longer a cost worthy option.

thats not a problem of it giving magic shred, but off it having a bad builtpath/priceing. The mr shred is very valuable for nearly any champ potentially would use it, besides maybe xin and irelia(both have enough other items to fall back to though)

you do realize that wit's in is a core item for atkspd builds on kayle and teemo right? Why are you trying to force this item to be a melee champ item?

I'd rather see it reworked to be more useful on ranged champs than melee champs.

You do realize wit's end use to be good on more then just kayle teemo and Warwick with a Udyr here and there. Dare I say it was core on Irelia back in season 2?

This bloodrazor provides some armor and MR for ranged but not as much. Are attack speed teemo and kayle building it for defense or for damage? Overall they are less likely to be needing the resistances anyways since they have ranged attacks. If you need the defence then you likely aren ot the best at positioning.

This item is already more then cost efficient (worth 3440 gold while costing 3400) with just the armor, MR, attack speed, and health regen.

It would still be more then likely be bought by both kayle and teemo if they wanted on hit damage.

It is just making it a little better for melee then ranged.

Increasing the amount of MR you receive < than decreasing the MR a target possesses. I cannot see how MR shredding the target hurts it considering they only take even more magic damage...which benefits only those listed but ey...its kind of a niche item.

I'd rather see Warwick reworked.

It use to be bough as a way to provide some mostly physical damage champ a bit of magic damage. This means that if jax wanted more magic damge he would be able to get wit's end so that the armor stacking malphite wouldn't be as much of a problem.

However the cost of 2500/2600 for wit's is to much to make it worth considering for a lot of physical damage dealing champs who will never have a good enough use for the MR shred.

Do you ever see anyone actually building Wit's end anymore outside of WW? I haven't. Not kayle or teemo since Nashor's is all around better in a AP build. Wouldyou rather have liandry's torment, on teemo or wit's end? One champ who could make good use of it is Azir but once again it is not even worth considering when compared to other items since you have to actaully auto attack the enemy to get the MR reduction. Wit's is in a bad spot and as long as people defend it with teemo and kayle it will stay in a bad spot for everyone else.

I am suggesting making Wit's back to a hybrid friendly item instead of a AP on hit item. It would be used a fair amount again if that were to happen unlike it's current AP on hit state.

the only thing that is needed for Wits to be worth it is a cleaned up built path, meaning it needs a low cost part already granting as+on-hit(at ~1200-1600g) and than a final item a for ~3200g with acordingly better stats. Rightnow, it doesn't help you in lane as it's to expensive to rush, and it doesn't offer enough for the slot in the late. If you play a champ that would profit from Wit's, you usually would also profit from BotrK, which offers a lot more for the lane due cutless while also scaleing better into the late.

And don't dare to remove the mr-shred, it's the only reason i still built it some times, the mr shred is the best that ever happend to wit'S.

It probably would already be enough if good old madrets returns, as the main problem of wit's is that you don't have any other magic-onhit items to pair it with. Since madrets is gone, magic-on-hit sucks as it can't scale into the late unless you pair it with heavy ap+nashor. Your item wouldn't help there, it's more or less a bunch of def and off stats that is generally usfull for anyone useing AAs, but it doesn't focus on a specific thing, and it offers far less dps than old madrets did.
