Dragon is frustrating :(

When the enemy gets the first dragon, you HAVE to secure the next one or gg.

Old dragon was a big gold boost for the enemy team if they got it first, but at least they only got the gold once. The current dragon buff just gets stronger and stronger and stronger. It's like if dragon used to give gold AND gp5. You just fall more and more behind.

And getting dragon first depends largely on your team - whether your bot lane or their bot lane gets a double kill, whose jungler ganks first, etc. Or you kill their bot and the only person with high hp recalls so you can't do dragon despite 20412305801 pings. Or you're stuck in top lane and the enemy bot and jungle get dragon and now you lose the lane through no fault of your own.

And if you get it first and get ahead, and you deny the enemy dragon 2 and possibly 3, you have pretty much won already. Zzzz.

I can't even begin to count the number of jungle Games I've had where i've ganked successfully my first few times, secured the first Dragon (and often the second and sometimes even the third) and still miserably lost the game because all 3 lanes die whenever I'm not there to gank for them.

I think I went something like 6 jungle Games in a row where I secured the first Dragon and had 2+ successful ganks (and no deaths personally) before that and proceeded to lose.

I think it's much the same as before. 6% ad and ap isn't going to put you at any more of a disadvantage against your Lane opponent than the global Dragon gold would have. I think Dragon is slightly more important now, but it's not game-changing, at least in my experience.

not really. it only takes 2 people to do it. If you notice your jungler is level 6, start pinging them to go there. if you're mid or bot, sacrifice some cs.

I ping and get ignored. I gank bot and kill their lane and our lane recalls. I start it when they have 3 dead, I ping and ping but nobody comes and 30 seconds later I get ganked.

It's a team game, but this particular objective requires 2 other people to pay goddamn attention to the map and that's a rare commodity in solo queue. And if they don't, and the enemy gets it, you watch yourself slide into oblivion as time goes by through no fault of your own.

I'm seeing more and more people throwing games because they "have to get dragon!!" at all costs. Even if they know it's warded, and the enemy team is already there, and they know we can't toe to toe the enemy. What you could be doing instead is taking a turret or preferably turrets while the team that "has to have dragon" is down there doing that. Take their jungle buffs, or plan a trap. Quit obsessing over the stupid dragon please.
