galio rework already a failure

"tank mage" in the mid lane has never shown to be effective or desirable.

even if you do succeed in making him fluid and or thematically fitting, its either OP, or UP, there is no inbetween.

currently galio is balanced and functional in all positions, mid/support/tanky utility. you're only going to diminish some or all of these areas.

just look at how effective "tank mage" really is.

Swain Chogath Singed Gragas NunuVladimir

I'm calling it right now, hes going to be released as stupid OP with utility focus and lacking damage. then hes going to be nerfed until hes never picked. even less than he is right now* leaving no damage options and niche utility pick.

Swain played commonly in gold to plat Chogath actually generally considered an underrepresented champion for his capacity, recent buffs will change that Singed has a distinct purpose and strategy, used in all ELOS, an amazing champion in all honesty Gragas he needs some love right now, but he'll be back, and he still sees pro play Nunu Amazing champion, easy to learn, great to master

swain is reserved as a counterpick bully, i dare you to put singed in the mid lane. and nunu.... is well the bunu.

these guys are never rushed too or thought of as a strong pick without being downright broken.

see DFT swain. see AP gragas one shotting your squishies. nunu is a gimick. cho cant be played at all nowadays because everything has hyper mobility, his cooldowns are simply too long.

Cho'gath isn't exactly immune to getting reworked either. There was that experiment last PBE.

Swain is also due for a full VGU.

Singed is just a weird champion in general.

So basically you think they shouldn't even try?

Edit: Crest, please don't become another F3IORA.

I don't think they should try. Look at what happened to "Yorick". Does that look like Yorick Mori to you? If it does, you need to take a good look at the actual Yorick again.

Yorick looks more fun and less annoying to lane against.

I'm not someone who loved the old Yorick. Your little point kinda backfires with me.

I LOVE the New Yorick, one of my new favorite champs in the Top-lane. He's become one of my tried-and-true picks. As for the original intent of this post, I say give them a CHANCE with Galio, it's not a foregone conclusion that it's a failure when it hasn't even been released.(Or announced, at least officially as a news-post on the website yet.)

EDIT: Silly me, put my original post as part of my reply.

Any mistakes you make against him are extremely punishing, and ironically, now his kit meshes together TOO well. If you get hit by his W, he's going to land his E. If you get hit by his E, he's going to be able to land his W a lot easier. If he lands his W and E, he's going to storm you with ghouls and there's nothing you can do about it.

Dude, that's kinda the point.

That's not good. It's either you miss his abilities and fail completely, or you hit them and your opponent loses 75% of their health. That's pretty stupid if you ask me.

swain is pretty good and singed can be godlike in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing. Nunu is just bad nor argument there. Cho and Gragas aren't as bad as people say. They just don't know how to play them properly.

as an Annie main. Swain Chogath Gragas Nunu Vladimir and honestly any AP tank is frighting to fight in lane. If we have to add Galio to that list and he is still able to convert that MR into damage. It cold be the end of my Annie days as I know it.

Very Hard Engage1 votes

right, because they're all counterpicks against annie, they take the burst, then they win the duration fight. but at the end of the day its not them winning, its the late game team who just so happens to invalidate one or more members of your team, not that he played well, but you just couldn't kill him, due to the nature of scalings and counterbuilds. thats not fun or interactive. that doesn't give you a chance. thats just another win/loss on champion select.
