I mean as a 200 MR darius with banshees and sv. malzahar ult did 1200 damage. and he doesn't have void staff. what on earth. cmon reduce damage across the board in the game its freakin ridiculous. its not just malzahar hes just an example here but its freakin stupid how this whole base damage and damage from ratios work in the game.
EMeta2 votesSo the AP carry used his ult on a tank, did a third of the tank's life while being immobile for a few seconds, and you have a problem with this? That's exactly how the tank should want this situation to go. Being a tank doesn't mean you're invincible, just that you have some disruption and you don't die instantly. If your team went with you, this sounds like a good part of a successful teamfight. If your team didn't go with you, then anyone is going to die.
On the other hand, if a Malz and his ult are your problem, just buy the 
and be done with it.

yeah but he didn't have any mr pen except for runes and haunting guise.

If it's Malz, he probably had his space aids and voidlings going at the same time. His full combo would likely be deadly enough to shred a tank. And if he did have is voidlings with him, then the damage is not even 100% magic.

level advantage or just a specialized ability can do it too.
also real tanks aren't gonna be stopped by 1200 damage. even if you kill them they will get their job done. Fighters are the ones who go and ignore 1200 damage while tanks just laugh at you for wasting it and make plays anyways because theyre actually designed to do so.

What you're having an issue with is quite likely a result of 2 main things.
Not much in real-time, but considering the eternity a 3 second 
binding is, you can accomplish quite a lot in that time-frame if you apply your power in the right places.
