Rek'Sai Passive & E Rework [Cleaned up]

I posted this about a month ago, and I recently made another post about how NONEXISTENT her passive is. I still think this would be a great idea. I also made a few tweaks for clarity.

A second ago I gave my complaint about how weak her passive is ...

Now I want to give an idea for how I think it could be changed to be better and to fit her theme more.

Fury of Xer'Sai INNATE: Rek'Sai generates 25 Fury upon dealing damage with basic attacks, Unburrow, or Furious Bite, and loses 20 Fury per second if she hasn't generated any in the last 5 seconds. While at 100% Fury, basic attacks and Unburrow reduce the remaining cooldown for Furious Bite by 1 second.

While BURROWED, Rek'Sai consumes her current Fury over 3 seconds, healing up to 20-190 (based on level) health at 100 Fury, stopping once she consumes it all or returns to full health.

** Furious Bite** COOLDOWN: >12? UNBURROWED - ACTIVE: Rek'Sai bites the target enemy dealing physical damage consuming all of her Fury and healing her for that portion of her passive heal.

At maximum Fury the damage is doubled and converted to true damage.

The current description on lolwiki doesn't really explain how having less than 100% Fury impacts the amount healed, but I assume it scales so 100 Fury is 100% of the total, and down from there.

I do believe the base cooldown for Furious Bite should be increased, but not by much overall. Keep in mind that basic attacks and Unburrowed will only reduce the cooldown when she has full Fury.

Also keep in mind that there are not many items that offer a lot of both AD and attack speed.

Blade of the Ruined King: Good amount of attack speed, but very little AD Trinity Force: Same as BotRK, but a lot of other stats, some of which Rek'Sai doesn't really use well, and it is very expensive. Essence Reaver: Does give a good amount of attack damage and a good amount of attack speed, BUT only for a short time after using your Ultimate. Stormrazor: Good amount of AD, little amount of attack speed.

With this in mind, increasing the amount of attack speed that Rek'Sai purchases in order to decrease the cooldown on Furious Bite will decrease the amount of gold that she invests into AD, which decreases the amount of damage she deals per use. On the other hand, if she is investing more gold into AD, she will not have the attack speed she needs to significantly reduce the cooldown, but each use of the ability will deal a greater amount of damage.

I would accept a nerf to the damage from using Furious Bite at maximum Fury. It could be less than doubled, OR (not both) it could not be true damage. Otherwise I don't think any other abilities / stats even need to be changed.

This really wouldn't make her overpowered. She would essentially be negating less than 1 basic attack from a champion worth of damage, but I think this would be a lot more useful while clearing, and it would give her passive better application.

I really like Rek'Sai but I just can't seem to play her effectively, everyone outdamages me and one shots me before I can even do my full combo.

Please do not mess with my Rek'Sai. She is extremely powerful right now but most people don't know how to play her. She is right up there with the strongest 1v1 duelists lvl 3 and she turns into a brutal diver/assassin. She falls off a cliff late, but her damage is absurd.

She does NOT need buffs.

Thats her issue is she falls off late and no one knows how to play her. I've played her nearing three years and this rework didn't do a whole lot to help out her situation.

I'm curious what you actually think about this idea. You're obviously a fan of hers, judging by your name and your comment. Do you think this would help her at all? Would it be a worth-while change? Would it be under-powered or over-powered? Even if it isn't a big change, do you think this at least fits her in a more thematic way?

This would help her but it wouldn't help her in the right way nor help the balance of the game right now,

Rek'sai's E is already one of her best abilities in her kit simply for the true damage; but rek'sai doesn't Need more damage, her late game simply she just dies too quick.

Her ult made it so she needs to get into someones face and deal damage and execute, But come late game if you try to dive a target youre able to do said combo on, you knock up one person and usually the other 3-4 "Rek" Your shit before youre able to do ANYTHING. Unless you ult early for the .5/.75 of invul while your ult animation goes through and hope your team can some how make something happen in that time frame.

I feel making her W AOE a single target is one of the worst design changes to a champion ever. it simply is not reliable because you can sometimes knock up a minion or the champion and it's sometimes a coin toss unless you flash directly under their champion.

This is barely a buff. I would honestly consider this to be more of a Quality of Life change, but it is substantial enough of a change to warrant the term "rework"

All I am trying to do is make her passive contribute to her kit in a meaningful way.

At best, this doubles the healing she gets from her passive, one use during combat with the use of her Furious Bite, and one more use at the end of combat when she burrows.

I hardly think an extra injection of 190 health at level 18 is going to break her.

If someone goes crazy with her attack speed she might be able to get a second Furious Bite in during combat, but the bite itself is probably going to be pretty weak and, she gets another bit of health.
