I've never done ranked in preseason, but I was kinda wondering what does doing ranked in preseason overall do? Does it just allowe you to heighten your MMR for placements, that way its more likely for you to get where you want to go when the regular season starts or?
mmr for placements meaning if you somehow got to plat during preseason thats who you would play with during your promos and you get to skip bronze and silver
It allows you to potentially heighten your mmr for placements yes (or lower it if you lose a lot).
Preseason games don't count as much though (half as much I think) compared to during the actual season, so it's more efficient to get your grind on during the main season.
