Since TP had it's cooldown increased can it have the 3.5 second channel time back?

It is still a really long cooldown so if you are going to use it why not be able to actually show up potentially before everything is finished.

It isn't likely to out class Ignite currently but if it could be used to gank bot lane when the enemy team is over extended more reliably it might have more reason to be used.

Leaving this here :v)

That statement is so insincere it hurts. Just like Facebook, or any other long running service, Rito needs to constantly change Lol to keep it fresh or it will fall off into obscurity. They DO make intentional changes to the META, just to make sure that different champion, builds, strategies and items come and go, so as to not let the game play grow stale.

ModAcademy Kayn2 votes

Making changes to the game =/= making changes to the meta to make a new meta. When Riot made Cinderhulk, their attempt wasn't to make a tank meta, but to give tanks a good jungle item. When Riot tried to give Assassin's items to themselves, so that they might be able to balance them easier (?), not to purposefully make an Assassin meta.

They make changes that change the meta, but they do not plan to make a certain meta. That is the difference being made.

Hmmm whats whit the epic overbuffing of enchanters to the point where lcs became a shitshow of "who gets ardent 1st wins"????

Edit: Are you seriusly beliving that they make changes whit no sight what will it do to the game?

SugeMinPikk1 votes

"""Enchanters""" didn't "feel good" to play, so they broke them. But healbots will never feel good to play unless you have a billion spells to use, like druids in WoW.

This change will do X to the game. With the Ardent changes, they were made towards helping enchanters feel more impactful, as that was what the majority of changes during that period were about. Their goal: To make enchanters stronger/feel better to play.

The results of that change, be it non-impactful, or overpowered, doesn't matter. Their goal, wasn't to make an Enchanter Meta. Their goal, was to help enchanters. How players find the most effective strategy is only half in their control.

Sry to sound so blunt, but you REALLY are naive if you think Rito doesn't intentionally change the meta. Do you really think they have NO understanding of their game whatsoever? Do you think it is a coincidence that all their changes in the last few years just so happened to lead to shorter and shorter games? A good example of an actual unintended meta shift was when, few patches ago, they buffed baron and it was actually slightly DIFFICULT to take without a whole team. But they fixed that little mistake in the very next patch didn't they?

ModAcademy Kayn1 votes

Change the meta? Yes. They do, but not directly. It happens when something prevalent is strong, they nerf it, and then something else takes over. Example: ADC prevalence, when Crit was nerfed, Lethality ADCs became a thing because the playerbase found it more effective. Did Riot's nerfs cause a change to the Meta? Yes. Did they look at the game, think "We want a Lethality Meta" and then nerf crit expecting that to happen? No. That came out of left field.

The playerbase is largely responsible for the actual meta, because they innovate and figure out what can become viable. What can become meta, is largely responsible on Riot's changes, from nerfs and buffs. If something is too strong, it'll get nerfed, and then something new will come out as the newest strongest thing, and then that will be nerfed.

Riot can affect the meta, but they do not look at the game, and say "Yes, we want this meta." Game state/length is not the same as Meta, but it can help affect the meta.

They might know some of the effects, but no one in their right mind could've ever seen ADCs stealing the Lethality Items for example, when Crit was made to come online later in the game. Internal playtests can show a lot, but those guy's jobs are to test the changes, not to have a constant changing meta that's equivalent to the real game. You can not account for a playerbase 100%, it's not possible.

But, judging by your attitude, I doubt anything I have to say is gonna change your mind. So whatever.

So what your saying is that their heart is in the right place, but instead, their just completely incompetent at their job?

ModAcademy Kayn1 votes

That's not at all what I'm saying. Balance is reactive, if something is strong it gets nerfed, and then something becomes the new strong thing. Even if they know that X thing will become stronger, preemptively nerfing something because they got an indirect buff, without any stats or proof, isn't the answer.

You really underestimate just how much an effect the playerbase has on the meta.

That'd allow plays to be made with it again so sorry can't do it, Riot wants TP to be as unviable as possible so only the most uninformed players will take it.

It doesn't have anything to do with damage after all, so who cares?

Since TP had it's cooldown increased can it have the 3.5 second channel time back can we stop the favoritism and do the same to ignite thanks.

Ahris4 votes

Gonna make it broken again. There is a reason why riot nerfed it while u guys are crazy about ignite.

LTK KoRo3 votes

Shhh shhh, don't try to use logical arguments against boards. Currently boards want 3 flash+heal/barrier per game, 60 minutes game, junglers being removed from the game, and a scaling ADCs/mages meta without any early game action.

Aseraan2 votes

Assasin clownfiesta is sure early game action.............

LTK KoRo1 votes

There's no assassin clownfiesta, unless you're mispositioned every 30 seconds.

Current meta is much better than a shitshow named ardent meta or league of stopwatch

It wasn’t broken Riot Netfed it because bot laners started taking it.

No they started taking simply for tower security. Teleport has never been broken because it has always had a long CD before the 1 min nerf it was at 5 minutes and for top laners it presented a risk to use as a ganking tool. Sure you can use it as a ganking tool but when you do you give up lane pressure and if nothing comes of you using teleport to gank then you would probably start losing gold and maybe even your tower because top laners have to back and try walk and to their tower in an already long lane. The Teleport nerf did nothing but negatively affect top laners. It lessened the ability to save their tower by teleporting rather than trying to walk back to it in a long lane. It also lessened top laners influence on the map which is already low because top is the most isolated lane on the map.Bot lane hasn't changed at all from teleport the nerf but top lane has. So good luck asking top laners to Teleport gank now because we basically run ignite as the primary summoner now since the nerf made teleport even more risky to use.

Infernape2 votes

Pls no. I can't take Shen being nerfed because of changes to TP.... again.

QmegaSquadVeigar2 votes

Just gut ignite already, everyone that has even a tiny bit of kill pressure takes it just because of how much dmg it does, combine it with electrocute and you can deal 330 dmg lvl 6 with just electro + ignite

Neptunia xoxo1 votes

I like TP where it's at tbh and it makes less of a mess with bot lane since nearly everytime it's used to go bot and either dive or just to make some play happen down there and honestly it got pretty annoying especially when people run double TP (top and mid).

BaconBitez1 votes

I think that this isn't the worst idea, but at this point, there is no predicting what Rito is going to do with buffs and Nerfs. This could be game changing if they went through with it and would change how fast you would have to react to a TP or to CC someone making the TP. The best thing to do is to make TP's CD back to what it was before the Nerf's increase in the CD.

Total Eclipse1 votes

********2.5s channel back. Bigtime missed that one. Needsto be known how gutted TP has been. 2.5s ---> 4.5s, 50% CDR to turrets ---> 0%, now 5min cd ---> 6min cd. Let it be known that these are the nerfs **********
