People are overreacting about the new Draft

Seriously, they're all calling it shit because of one thing, which is 3-5 people in a "SoloQ". And that's not even the problem with the Draft, that could easily be removed. Its not even SoloQ specific it'll probably work in norms too. Other than that we got a lot more.

Firstly, it looks really badass. Secondly, bans are evenly placed out so that not everyone but first pick is unimportant and gets no advantage, not quite what we asked for but close enough. Second pick is kind of left out but it still gets an advantage over 3rd 4th and 5th. Thirdly, we won't have "X lane or feed" guys anymore. The worst we'll get is Disco Nunus and the only way you can stop that is reporting them(granted it doesn't work all the time but at least Riot is trying and getting rid of as much trolling as they can).

People still used to be able to do off-metas. Now they get to pick when they want to do it instead of hoping they get the role but either way. Plus, off-metas aren't always that bad. Once had an APC Fizz bot lane, so the support picked Blitz... we won HARD. Bot lane won lane and mid lane won lane and top went kinda even at like 2/2/0 or something by end of laning phase, and they ff'd at 20.

I don't care if they're off meta or not, I'd like to know what the team plans on picking so one of us can change if it will result in a better comp.

They'd still have that, that's why they made it draft-like. Heck, it could be better now because now people could actually play their main roles, and just get like 4-6 champs for 2 roles and play just them. They might not be the best like no Wukong with a Yasuo, but they could still have like a tank, a fighter, and a carry for the roles(unless one is support obviously). But I mean, that's still in effect, just now they don't have to master like 15 champs just to feel safe playing Ranked.

Early picks suck, especially now that you're getting designated your lane ahead of time.

Unless picking pants-on-head retardedly strong champions that were unable to be banned, because Rito is going to continue leaving more than 6 champions in broken states, is intended gameplay...

If you're in Bronze-Gold you'll probably want them to counterpick you. Because unless they've played that champ a lot, they'll probably suck balls and you'll win assuming you're playing your best champ. Heck, if you're playing your best champ it will probably happen in high divisions too.

Maybe you want that... but I think most people would agree with me and rather play a matchup that's not heavily weighted in the enemies favor from champion select...

Maybe not something like Tryndamere vs Pantheon where there's literally no counterplay involved, but if its just a skill matchup like Zed vs Kayle, and I'm a Zed main vs a first time Kayle... yeah I like the matchup.
