The passive Ashe has on Hawkshot, while useful for letting her generate more income if she power-farms, does not fit into Ashe's theme as "The Frost Archer". Does she have some sort of "Midas Touch" somewhere among her powers? I doubt it.
Yes, the passive is a relic from the beta days, but should it be kept that way if it doesn't fit the theme?

He gave an example of something that doesn't really fit any particular theme to make the point that not every part of a kit goes directly with a theme. His point does not loose weight simply because he referenced something you weren't talking about.
darkdill1 votesEither way, Ashe is an ADC who definitely could have better gameplay (her Q slow is obsolete), so removing the E passive could free up some power budget if needed.
(Yes, I know Ashe has an okay win-rate, but her gameplay is not fun enough.)
