@Riot Meddler New Karma Kit Idea

New Karma Idea. Please be nice. :(

I may get a lot of flack for this but I have a completely new idea for Karma. I always thought her Mantra system was too much to work around and balance. I have a new idea for Karma that some people might like. This new idea uses a large fan that Karma channels her innate abilities from. Janna taught her how to use it. This is just a new way to maybe play her that isn't tied behind a poorly designed mantra system, a kit that has practically one damage move, doesn't maker her seem like a shield bot, and more.

The idea is that Karma does damage when she has her large fan in hand. When Karma places her fan on the ground it provides her allies and herself with a lot more utility and supportive aspects. She still retains her ability to poke enemies down, shield, and grant a mass shield. This is just another way to make her into something more cohesive and have a theme . . . since you know she is supposed to be this battle priestess that can fend for herself but also provide support for her allies. Plus, who wouldn't want to have a giant fan like Temari's? Since you know . . . Riot removed her fans.

Passive - When Karma places her fan on the ground with W, allies run faster towards the fan. Besides R, all abilities are not useable when Karma doesn't have her fan on her. Karma's auto attacks do more magic damage when she doesn't have her fan in hands.

Q - Heavenly Weave - Karma attacks nearby enemies with energy and each successive hit on the enemy increases the damage. After four successive hits the last hit will deal more damage to enemies with lower health.

W - Strategic Battle Plan - Karma throws her fan at a specific location and anything around it is hit with a little magic damage and briefly slowed. Karma moves faster towards her fan and when she picks it up, she waves it in front of herself and releases a small burst of energy that does damage to enemies in front of her.

E - Karma can cast a shield on herself or ally to prevent damage.

R - Fan on Hand - Karma waves her fan and shoots out a big wave of energy that hits anything in front of her and pushes them back slightly.

Fan off Hand - When the fan is placed on the ground with W, the fan emits a powerful wave of energy that shields multiple allies and prevents damage around it.

Hey, erm, I'll try to stay positive, but it's hard. Really hard.

I mean, Janna teaching Karma about her fans is Karma's old lore. It's not in the current one. Basing anything on it is a tiny little bit misguided.

Secondly, I don't see this kit working out. Q is a very despised mechanic: A 3 hit 4 hit passive... on an active ability. The passive just borderline boring, both a restriction in itself and just an extension of W. Talking about W: this is completely overloaded by itself, but it even has the passive stuck onto it too. E is Karma's old shield but without the exciting factor of mantra-ing it (shieldbomb) and the R is just.... utterly lackluster. Like a softcore version of Janna's R with no synergy in her kit whatsoever.

All in all you have made Karma a AA based champion that has a shield (E), 2 passives, 1 overloaded ability and a lackluster ult. She probably would be played ADC or something. Which is the only, I repeat, the ONLY thing Karma currently can't be half-decently played as.

I am a huge fan (heh) of Old and partly New Karma, but this I just can't get behind. Again, I am sorry, I don't want to sound destructive, but if I want you to progress, I have to be honest. Which I am. I appreciate the effort of doing something with our overbuffed and missunderstood duchess of Ionia, but this just is not the right way. Sorry, again. I would've loved to say more positive things.

I can see the Katarina rework influencing parts of this kit. The problem is, this kit has nothing to do with Karma what so ever.
