Not that I'm opposed to any Syndra buffs (she really needs them), but why improve her maximum mana per level? That feels a little... awkward as a choice for buffing her. And what happened to her Q's passive buff (15% bonus true damage to Champions instead of just 15% increased damage)? Was that one considered OP?
Is the max mana buff simply to make 
better on her?

While this little extra mana is perfect for nudging her mana management into a more comfortable place mid game where it can feel quite limited I wonder what happened to some of those other changes. Particularly that bit of true damage I like; makes her evolution feel notable.
Overlord Forte1 votesPassive changes appear to not be entirely on the schedule for 5.18. It isn't clear if those will come in time for worlds or not. (as per Scarizard's allusions)
Max mana will help her midgame onwards in team fighting, where she suffers currently. It'll buff both Athene's and Archangels, respectively, improving those builds distinctly. She'll be sitting around the 4th highest base mana pool in the game, and for someone who is very combo-centric, it'll help.
