yi is one of the strongest champs in that game at full build, but he is EXTREMELY item dependent.

the issue with him in lower elos is people just feed him and he gets his items so fast. and because no one in low elos can CC him properly they find him unbeatable.

one people reach and elo where they realize NOT DYING is more important than getting a kill. they stop banning yi
