Attempting to reconnect

I was playing league with a friend in a party when suddenly, we both get disconnected from the game even though our internet is perfectly fine. We both tried to reconnect but it was stuck on the Attempting to reconnect bar. We aren't using the same wi-fi. He said he tried leaving the match and reconnecting but it didn't let him. Anyone know the solution? Thx in advance
