Does wining your lane even matter anymore?

Two games in a row today I've done my best in lane and handedly won them. However, it seems like by the time I take my opponents tower down another lane has managed to feed their counterparts so that they are far stronger than I am.

First game Gangplank I beat the garen and take his tower and zone him from farm with barrels but our jinx and sona manage to give the enemy jinx 10+ kills before 15 minutes. Guess what, a fed adc out damages me who can't get close enough to barrel or parley her. Enemy team rallied on jinx and took down turrets super fast and won.

Sick of my useless bot lane's shit excuse I went into another game this time as ADC KogMaw . Again I'm 8/1/4 or so by the time landing phase is coming to an end but the bloody devourer farming Aatrox and orinanai fed the enemy talon who just ults and kills me the rest of the game.

Seriously why do I even bother trying to win lane when it seems like the rest of team always gives the enemy an advantage. Im not saying I'm perfect but its frustrating as hell when I lose mostly because of other peoples faults.

I try to give advice or be positive but no I'm a tilting wreck cause this happens so often and Im afraid of getting reported cause my chat is getting more mean.

#win lane lose game

Is there anything I can do aside from looking for trustworthy friends to play with? Do I have to roam the moment I start wining and babysit the other lanes while letting the guy I'm beating free farm his way back into game?

I totally feel you 100%. This is what's known as elo hell. Some games are definitely unwinnable and its extremely frustrating. All you can do is report unskilled/hope they fall out of elo. In the meantime, if you are losing and don't want to waste your time, I take notes on how the enemy plays and try to figure out ways to prevent a runaway late game. Practice your skills and mechanics. Not the answer you want, hope it helps.

Thanks, glad to know that others are suffering (misery loves company). I just irks me that this "team game" can be decided by one team member having a bad time. Which in turn ruins it for so many others. I don't like wasting 30+ minutes on an un-winable game.

Which, and I have posted on this many times, people do not understand the fundamentals of the game. When you die in lane, youre behind (could range from death gold to 3k). People who have 10,12,14 deaths in a game... I report them. That's a potential 5k to 42k gold (best and worse case) that is being handed over. Not to mention while youre dead you are contributing 0 to the team. People who die in lane. Need to slow their roles and wait for backup from the winning lanes/jungler

I do leave my lane when I can but then it always seems that my opponent farms up the waves and takes tower why I'm holding my losing teammate's hand. Should I squander my advantage over him?

if you crush a garen top when you're playing a champion with a high damage threat and semi-global presence like gangplank, you should look to extend that advantage over the other lanes. this is especially true when you're putting a champ like garen behind early

if getting another lane's snowball rolling means losing your t1 top tower (which is imo the least important tower on the map), so be it. go make some enemies eat powder and tell your potato-ass teammates to go rightclick dragon so you can go back top and remind garen who the real captain is

Advantage is leveraged versus global objectives not individuals. Every kill devalues your opponent substantially but objectives have set prices. Deny creeps early and they'll just be catching up not getting ahead. Mid tower and Dragon yield the greatest map pressure as does the 4v5 situation when you roam. Roam when your lane spawns a cannon minion to reduce their lane pressure or preferably if jungle can hold off a solo gank. Always remember trades aren't just in lane, every decision is a trade.

you are smart. its answers like these that show the difference between keeping your self in bronze and match making keeping you in bronze. not saying that i know if you good or not but your ability to process and analyze is professional coach (or i could just be bias because it sounds sorta like mine) and those things actually mattered alot in the 3-4 years i was playing this game before this one (2015). ever sense this year its like strategic descisions matter less and trade off matter less

it sucks that you keep getting bad people but technically thats how team games work if they are loseing lane and you are winning its supposed to effect how you play and how the enemy does and plays. if you look at another way the enemy mid as you they won their lane and their top lost their lane but he didnt feed and was on a champ that doesnt need much gold to be effective why should that mid laner lose its not like jungle or another lane ganked them and they even went bot to help their bot that was struggling its not really squandering anything if you lose lane and your allies carry you its just as fair as your allies loseing lane and you carrying them. thats how teamwork works. also remember that what ever you are thinking about how you want to win your enemies are thinking the same thing

Dunno, I pushed away from his farm and XP my laner Renekton and snowballed my botlane and jungler as Quinn top until we won.
