Champion scores should compare you to your team

I don't know if it does already, but I have carried many feeding teams and still got scores like A-.

If your whole team is doing very well and you're 7/0/10 it's not a big deal. Your whole team is fed, and you're fed. I mean, it's still good to be 7/0/10, but all you had to do was be in teamfights to get 10 assists, win lane to get 7 kills. Your enemies might be 0/5, 1/3, 2/7, etc. The hard part is just not dying.

But if your team is sucking and you're 7/0/10 it means a lot of things. You're able to not die against the fed enemy 8/3 Tristana. You won your lane, but you were also able to assist your feeding team and help them feed less. You're doing well against fed 10/5 enemies rather than 0/5 enemies. You're holding your own when your team can't.

Currently it doesn't compare you to your team.

As for whether it should compare you, I'm not entirely convinced. You have good arguments, for sure, but there are also big problems with that.

I think it's much more of a bigger task to carry a team of 4 0/6/1 players than a team of 4 10/0 players

Remember the infamous 0/103/0 intentional feeder who still won the game?

I think his team definitely deserved S for carrying that

I don't see what big problems it would cause

It's complicated to do properly in every cases. You can give obvious example in text, but when you have to code it, you have to account for all the grey area in the middle. Also, it may give incentives to bad behaviors, since you're rewarded more if you do well but your team do poorly, so for instance you could go alone chasing safe kills but let your team lose all team-fights on purpose. These are just a few quick examples.

Not saying that it's a big "no-no", just saying, I'm not entirely convinced it's a good idea.

At least bump scores up a notch if there's an afk on the team. I can't think of a way that can be abused besides having a duo AFK, but then duoQ on its own can be abused for people to duo with higher ranked smurfs anyways.

The other fact of the matter is not every champion is the same in terms of just pure kills/deaths etc... a Nasus for example will typically receive far fewer kills especially in the early game then say a Leblanc. Basing it on the average performance of similar skilled players using the same champions provides for more accuracy in determining score.

I'm not saying don't compare to similar skilled players at all.

I'm saying also add a team performance aspect to it. It won't be about kills, or how many kills your team gets. It will be about how well you're doing compared to your team (not how many kills the teammates have, that doesn't matter, but how many turrets we have up, how many deaths teammates have) and how fed the enemy team is.
