RIOT: The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly Garen Changes.

So as a Garen main, I am glad they are finally taking some of our advice regarding Garen. But I think they are going a little far.

The Good: Innate Changes, This is a minor Buff to his mid game and a slight nerf to his late game but an over all Good Change. Why? Well now instead of having no increase in his passive from lvl 1 - 10, it know scales with lvl, giving him slightly more in the early, ALOT more in the mid, and slightly more late again. BUT the reason I consider it a nerf in the late game is because of the removal of the "Double while Below 50% HP" Mechanic. Regardless, its a Good Over all change, making for a healthier Garen. And making non-epic monsters not break it at all is a nice change, to possibly allow for Garen Jungle to make a return!

Ult Changes, Finally removing the villainy mechanic! Thank you! And changing the Ult from Magic > True damage but reducing amount is a good change over all! For both Garen, and his opponents.

E Changes, FINALLY! My self and Critmaster Garen have been asking for/talking about adding AS scaling to E rather than per lvl! And YES YES YES, this is an awesome change! Giving Garen new build paths, and not making him so one dimensional! But of course, you had to tack on something Bad.....(Read below)

The Bad: W Changes, Not sure why we are Removing his Magic Resist? I mean Thematically he should be more Anti-Magic than Anti-Physical, as his Armor is supposed to Absorb Magic. But okay, this is just some balance change I am okay with as long some other changes ship as well.

E Changes, WHY! OH WHY! Are you making it apply on-hits to the closest enemy! Remove this along with the 25% bonus and go back to a % Bonus IF there is only 1 target being hit! The On-Hits is Cool and all but this is going to make him a balancing NIGHTMARE as almost all champions become that can abuse on-hits! Its going to be so fun playing vs a Jax and watch as his E absorbs Garens entire combo......Or dieing to Rammus cause im spinning..... or flat out do nothing vs Amumu Passive...... or 100-0 the enemy team with item 3074 item 3153 item 3115 item 3124 item 3091 .....Again the build possibilities look cool with the on-hits, but I think its going to cause some insane balancing nightmares.

Edit: Apparently Jax E doesn't Block Garens Spin, but Shen W does.....sooo yea something funky going on their.

Actually Jax's e doesn't block Garen's new spin, interestingly enough. It's weird because Shen's w does block the spin, but only if he's the closest enemy. Other than Shen I couldn't find anyone else who blocks it, not blinds or anything either.
