So when is support Sion getting nerfed?

55% win rate putting him over the Janna bar and all that. We can't have a support stay over the Janna bar.

Sion support: 0.57% playrate. 55.77% winrate.

Janna support: 20.07% playrate. 53.7% winrate.

I don't see a cause for a nerf to Sion support at all.

The moment people realize he's a good support, his playrate will jump.

And the winrate will drop because a lot of people won't understand how to use him at first.

Besides he's a snowbally support. If he can't get the lane to snowball then he isn't going to be helpful since he's lost the health from not farming in top and has a lack of items to be tanky with.

Riot doesn't like to have champs who do better than Janna in support. They get nerfed eventually. Like Soraka and Sona did recently.

It seems like sheilds are easier to balance than heals. Perhaps thats why. In my honest opinion, i prefer a support that brings lane presence, someone like braum, leo, or even taric to some extent. I feel that while janna is amazing at disengage and sheilding allys, there are more impactful supps. Im not saying janna sucks btw

Shields are slightly easier to balance than heals, but that's only because they go away after a few seconds. Heals are there until the other team damages you again.

I think Soraka though is an issue less because of heals in general and more because her W is just too good of a heal.
