: I don't think it makes sense for any midlaner to rush a Banshee's Veil just to deal with a lane opponent. If you're talking like 5th item, in a team fight the likelihood of your Banshee's blocking the one exact skill that you want it too is almost zero. It's also very likely that it will get popped by any form of poke before the fight starts anyway

: Veigar's stun is 2.5 seconds. This makes it 1.65 seconds with Merc Treads. The Delay on Veigar's W is 1.25 seconds. What do?

: actually is a good item for lane. The Maw shield means almost nothing when Veigar inevitably gets 1000+ AP. So it's good for lane, but pretty underwhelming mid-late game

: great for getting out of his stun, but negates 0 of his damage. People also forget that Veigar doesn't need to stun you. You can get out of his stun just to be stunned by another member of his team. Don't get me wrong, it's a good option. I don't agree with saying it hard counters him though

I'm not saying that Veigar is OP, but saying these items hard counter him is just flat out wrong
