Lethal Tempo is bad design

I went Lethal Tempo Yi top vs Conqueror Tryndamere

I was able to kill Tryndamere twice. The 1st time was early game at 2 minute mark and. 2nd time is lategame when he didn't use his ultimate. Otherwise he completely obliterated whatever the hell he wanted and no one could duel him. All because he had Conqueror and I had Lethal Tempo

So I decided to ignore him for the rest of the game and farmed other lanes, the jungle. Then I killed I went mid, killed velkoz before I even get any benefits from Lethal Tempo itself.

So Either I get obliterated by Conqueror Tryndamere or I kill enemies before I even enter in Tempo mode.

1.5 seconds to wait in battle is pretty much the life time of a fight. The only guys who get the benefit are the once that have durability or are ranged champion like Vayne who is untouchable because of stealth and her hard cc

4 seconds is quite a lot for Conquror but at least you get huge amount damage and you can push the lane slower so you able to keep it all the time.

Attack speed by it self means nothing if you don't do any damage

Lethal Tempo just isn't strong on Yi, since Yi is overtuned to a degree where he kills everything and anything in under 1second. If youre looking for a AA based melee champ to try Lethal Tempo on, Nocturne would be the optimal choice on paper. Heres why.

Lethal Tempo+Celerity secondary. Q trail move speed = celerity damage. E horror move speed = huge celerity damage. Phage= more celerity damage.

E(fear)takes the same amount of time to trigger as Lethal Tempo does. So, in otherwords when your fear triggers, you hit a massive powerspike in regards to both AD and AS. a powerspike that is then maximized with a Guinsoos, also capping out at or before your Fear triggers.

Nocturne can reach 500AD with Black Cleaver or Trinity Force+Guinsoos just from the Guinsoo percent damage multiplying his Celerity gains and Q trail gains. Just two items.

I've been using Conqueror since release but what you say makes no sense. How is Lethal Tempo good on Noc since he has no onhit damage other than his passive with his basic attacks other than reducing the cooldown on his Passive?

Lethal Tempo by design is suppose to be good on Yi since synchronize with his kit quite well. He got onhit damage, Alpha is reduced by basic attacks and lands wuju style more often. However without damage all that attack speed is kinda waste cause you got no damage therefor less true damage on Wuju Style. Meanwhile Conqueror converts damage dealt into true damage

if you look at Precision right now Before Precision + Sorcery gave only attack speed only and felt far worst now Precision + Sorcery gives Attack Speed and Attack damage and feels far better than before

In contrast with the topic with that I just played a game with Conquerer Yi vs Fleet Footwork Tryndamere. And yeah i completely dominated him and was the strongest player in the game

So I think Lethal Tempo should do more than just giving attack speed otherwise pure attack speed ain't good because of the lack of damage and without damage it doesn't matter how much attack speed you have

Noc has no on hit? his Q is +20-60AD. Celerity gives him about 40AD. Spell shield allows him to break AS barriers making Lethal Tempos value increase since it will exceed the AS cap. His passives uptime is determined by attack speed.

Nocturne has around a free, +100 windowed AD, AD that lasts about as long as Lethal Tempo does.

You don't need onhit things to benefit from tempo.

I didn't know that but if you build Crits those 100 AD becomes 250 phys damage on crit and get Conqueror you might get much more than if you get Tempo. You should try it and see the results yourself

Conqs ramp up time is a little longer than Nocturne would like I feel like. But situationally, maybe.

Just because it's terrible on Yi (And that Trynd shits on Yi) doesn't mean Tempo is bad.

Tempo is great on champions who it's good on.

Try Conquerer or Press the Attack on him instead. Both are far better choices.
