Seems like assassin's can't exist in league without either being nerfed to hell

Just because they do their job. nobody likes to die. thats the assassin's job is to kill you. people come here and QQ about it. riot nerfs them. currently most assassins have sub 50% winrate. and winrate is everything. we play ranked to win and the common factor in all those assassin games is themselves. if they can't win there is no reason for them to exist. seems like riot just wants this game to be two tanks sitting in front a support a mage and an adc.

Remember Akali when she could proc her Q using E?

Remember fizz when he could WQ and one shot everyone?

Remember kassadin with an ap ratio and low mana cost on his ult?

Theres a reason theese assasins got nerfed. It was quite horrible.

but in all seriousness. if you group and exahust fizz. what can he do? not much or any other assassin. meahwile an adc autoing from 700 range away is fun without any cooldowns or resources. so much counterplay just dodge the autos

You are right, there is a design issue with them. I cant speak for akali because I dont play her much, but they tried to shift fizz's power to his ult, to give the enemy more counterplay but still preserve fizz's damage.

And its not like all assasins are gutted, leblanc, shaco and kha still seem to be good picks.

You complain about adc's like its easy to sit back and auto attack but in reality at the moment it is actually one of the hardest role to play because of the reworked assassins. People like leblanc, fizz, kat, talon if they are smart just kill the adc right off the bat which is so frustrating for the adc because the counterplay around that is to have your team exhaust or cc the assassin but most people unless they are queue'd with friends they don't group up and help peel for the adc. I'm tired of people complaining about adc's they have been this way for so long and all of a sudden now people are complaining. I agree crit is bad but come on its so easy to shut down adc's in solo q.

The problem is that Riot can't seem to get it right. Assassins are supposed to be the counter to AP and AD Carries who go full damage build. But, as evident by Rengar pre-nerf rework where he could get delete tanks and squishies alike in seconds, Riot can't make them do that without scaling so hard that they insta-gib everyone. As a result, they inevitably have to nerf them, hard.

Why? There is absolutely no reason for a champion who's job is solely "to kill you" in half a second to exists. This is bad and one-dimensional gameplay, that has absolutely no positive effect on the meta.

This "their job" mantra is repeated over and over by assassin players, but there isn't a single thing that would justify existence of such playstyle in the first place.

There is good reason why Riot never tries to push assassins into competitive meta since like season 2, with a single exception of Zed, no matter how much "assassin free" it became. All that assassins do in the end is causing enemy team to assume super-boring, extremely safe playstyle that nobody enjoys to play or watch. Riot simply finally realized, that keeping them in solo queue meta in their old shape was just as bad as allowing them into competitive.

The new patch just cut off their balls.I'm not sure they are even worth playing anymore at this point. Would do better playing Mage at this point in most cases.

Tbh mages don;t care much about assassins. Unless they have 3 escapes, better poke, wave clear, cs mechanics and overal are (were) duel gods. You know who i'm talking about?

problem here is assassins can delete you if you're alone but can't do jack shit in team fights. their weakness should not be that they can't do their job in team fights because that makes them obsolete in a well organized game however they should do their job even if they die. which is counter ad carries and mages.
