Just had a reminder of why Jungle is getting nerfed.

Be me.

Be me as Malzahard Mid against Zed.

Be me at 3 minutes on a shove out from my tower.

Be me and get ganked at 3 Minutes because I had to walk up from out of under turret to try to hit level 3.

Be me and burn flash, and have to back.

Be me and return to lane, only to see that your wave is shoving out again.

Be me and ward both sides of my river.

Be me and think it is safe to go up to the wave and click E Q W as Malzahar.

Be me and get ganked from my blue side jungle as I walk up to the minion wave to click E Q W.

Be me and die.

Be me and return to lane at 5 minutes at level 3.

Be me and sit under tower trying to last hit and clear minions.

Be me and get dove by Zed at level 6 when I am level 4.

Be me and die to Zed ulti + ignite.

Be me and can't be in lane anymore because Zed ulti is on a short CD.

That is the power of two ganks before 5 minutes. Completely decided my lane before I could even get my first component.

This is at a plat level too. Imagine it at a diamond level. If your jungler doesn't correct the issue. Its an even harder snowball. Lmao

You used your entire combo on the wave, for sure as fuck i woud punish you too if I were a jungler and seeing a mid laner wasting their mana and spells so carelessly.

I was malzahar, walking up to the wave to clear it and back off.

There isn't much of anything to do.

The fact is, I couldn't even wave clear because I was camped from somewhere I couldn't see.

Wasting my combo for wave clear? You mean what malzahar does? Because I always click E Q W and walk away from the wave. (Note I was literally right in front of my tower, but in the time frame I came up to click those three buttons, he came out from the side and knocked me up before I could get safely under tower.)

But yes, its somehow my fault.

It is, if your wave is pushing out and you are not in a position to shove it just wait and let it bounce back.

You also carelessly waste your combo on the wave without knowing the whereabouts of the jungler, even if you think it's safe blowing your combo to shove out the lane when you aren't even prepping for a dive or basing is just a general lack of understanding of wave management. I would also assume your jungler wasn't even nearby to help you so you just shoved and got yourself killed for free without your jungler nearby.

You don't need to be constantly shoving in your opponents to win this is a misconception.

Junglers exist only to prevent anything interesting from happening in all lanes, If you break the rule and try to make a play without knowing where the jungler is its like you throw the game. Junglers should be made to fight eachother for jungle control at least for the first 10 minutes, make it another lane to be won and make junglers fight eachother for jungle camps and something way more important then herald that makes ganking before 10 a high risk of loosing that buff.

That way other players can 100% focus on winning their lane by making plays and not play passive because of jungle gank fear, games will be way more interesting to watch (LCS) and 1v1s will be relevant again.

Jungle is fine, and is a bit annoying it's always heavily targeted for any changes. As a jungle main, if I see any weakness from any line opposing lane. I expose it as often as I can, until either other jungle tries to counter me or the lane changess their style to not be such an easy target. Aka doing my job to get lanes ahead , also if a lane is duo with a jungle you may see more pressure that way. The lesson is, don't position your self in a way that you can be easily accessible, keep wards up, give up some farm if it means not dieing. If a mid is trying to get you to move to one side or another they are probably setting you up. Champs with better disengage are better route too. If they keep pressure and ur jungle some how doesn't notice , ask for some help as polietly as you can.

Heres the thing.

You aren't being punished for sitting between two lanes for majority of the game.

Where as if laners were to leave the lanes they get heavily punished either with a lower tower/ loss of tower/ or exp and gold denial.

If you can tell me that you have never just sat between mid/top or mid/bot for 30 seconds because your camps were down. I wouldn't believe you.

I'm not a jungle main and I sit in a lane because it works. Whenever I play jungle. The fact that i hardly ever get punished for sitting in a lane for 30 seconds while waiting for the enemy laner to walk into my flash range is stupid.

That is the exact reason why the meta is strongly in favor of waveclear and playing safe in the solo lanes.

It's a complete waste of time that I could be somewhere else. If all my camps are down I usually base, unless a gank presents itself. If nothing happens from the gank it's waste of time. We still have objectives too, could easily lose drag or rift in that time frame. Or have another lane get ganked, die and lose turret.

All this has absolutely nothing with jungle getting nerfed. Im only Silver so you might ignore my advice but to avoid getting ganked so easily just make sure you are putting your wards in the right place. Dont just ward the side river bushes. You will only see the gank coming right before it happens and if they come that way. What I do is put my ward near the tip of the walls. You will be able to see more and spot the gank way before it happens. You just wont be able to see in the bush itself. but you dont need to see in the bush because you will see anyone that tries to walk into it before they get there.......unless they use flash to flash over the wall into the bush.
