So you'd love Bard, Shen, and Blitzcrank support, since those supports are the ones that roam the most.

All 3 of their kits revolve around getting me kills and/or preventing me from killed, without much temptation for them to go off and build damage. Most other supports have some sort of poke that scales well with (usually) ap, and then if they go that route theres a lot of 'accidental' kills taken.

Personally, I love AP supports since they take the burden off of me. I'm not a skilled marksman, so if someone else can do good damage, I'm fine with that.

Carry me: 
I'm a pretty weak bottom laner compared to my other roles, so if someone can create some nice lane presence for me, I love that. Brand has ridiculous harass and has a lot more lane presence than most supports. He can get the enemies low and make the lane safer for me. I personally don't care as much if my support gets kills, since I'm not normally not mechanically gifted enough to effectively utilize my power to carry a game. If my support is getting kills, then I don't need to worry about carrying the game as much! Kayle Brand can do it! Lastly, though I like peel, I feel like my life as a marksman isn't worth much anyways because I'm a bad marksman, so I don't really care much about Brand having no peel or heals.
Carry me more: 
Vel'Koz has a lot of front-loaded damage, so he can carry me through laning very well too. His range is impressive, and he's super good at getting kills for himself, which is fine by me. He's also a teamfight monster, which makes up for my poor teamfighting skills. Basically, I love him for the reasons why I like Brand support.
Crowd Control Galore: 
I'd put another AP support here, but I really like Nautilus. He does a lot of damage, he's super tanky, and his initiations are amazing. I find myself winning lane with him a lot, and he's really good at getting me kills and making me feel good about myself. I love his immobilizing auto attacks and the largeness of his Dredge Line's hitbox. He can get enemies to me and we can kill them together. Though he places a lot more of the burden on me to follow up on his initiations and do well, since I really like his kit, he's my third favorite support.

i like supports who actually have some peel and cc to them. i dont need a support who builds full damage and no support items and i want a support to get SS. majority of the mage supports think by getting SS it makes it harder for them to carry.

- Skilled Bards are gamechangers, I love seeing them especially since I used to play him a lot.
- Black Shield and the potential to get picks are why I enjoy having her. Her decent damage doesn't hurt either.

janna shield OP af, and ult is on a dirt low CD or seems to be up over 100% of the time i get ganked so im always safe no matter how far out of position i am or how ever hard i push.
thresh flash lantern, gg ez, im so good, save my life look how good i am and not the enemy team who was right to punish me but gets denied at every turn.

Astôlfo1 votesIf I play Jhin: Morgana (for her Cursed Ground which lets me instantaneously W for a root, as well as the double root synergy, in addition to the Black Shield to deny enemy CC), Sona (lots of healing, auto-targeting Q which leads to unavoidable W mark which I can hit for a root). After that, I dunno, maybe Zyra? For her seeds spawning everywhere which leads to easy damage from her which leads to easy W marks for me? As well as a lot of CC?
If I play any other normal AS-based ADC: Soraka/Janna against a more aggressive lane, Blitzcrank/Leona/Thresh in general.
