With sion rework around the corner is anyone worried about olaf's position in the league?

The sion rework is good, very good. I would argue that even if olaf became good again that thematically speaking Sion is so sound and entrertaining that he almost eliminates the viking berserkers place in league of legends. I think olaf needs some love both in the long and short term. maybe a art rework at the very least to keep him up to par.

Olaf is was once my main, and he holds a special place in my heart along with Cho'Gath and Blizzcrank. i feel like he needs a major gameplay overhaul to get him back into the meta.

Come back Olaf, return unto my picks.

I don't think he needs any kind of help. I mean, he has his own niche, being a powerful fighter with inbuilt sustain, strong execute, and an ultimate to die for as a bruiser. Just because he isn't "Meta" doesn't mean he needs a rework. Maybe he could use another skin, but do you really want to see such a dangerous bruiser becoming extremely popular and getting a nerf?

im not so sure you understand how olaf is constructed very well.... currently his kit is still toxic if you look at it. they just made it so hes not able to function in teamfights so even if u got wrecked by his toxic ass in lane he wouldnt adversely affect the game.

His e still wrecks melee's his q got a damage and q spam nerf (which are redundant) and he got his build path altered so hes less effective with what he needs to build. He just feels aweful theres not a single reason in my mind why he couldnt be better than he is now!

I will agree that he is very dangerous to play against because of his damage, durability, and sustain, but I think that's great! To me his kit oozes raw power, and that is fine. I'm sure as long as annoying DOT mages (Teemo, Singed, Vel'Koz) can punish him, keeping his anti-range and anti-melee power is enough for a bruiser niche.

I think you are the only person in this universe who is concered in the slightest about olaf's position in the league.

i think that's because no one gives a fuck. not because my complaint doesn't have any ground. I think the gameplay rework we received was a sham and that the buffs we got are not conforming to riots standards compared to how they handled the nidalee and skarner reworks regarding how much followup they received.

And they're trying to do the same thing to Cassiopeia.

Not an Olaf player, but shouldn't it be troubling to anyone that the community starts to think that every champion with a low winrate is in dire need of a rework? Rework were once reserved for broken Champions that couldn't be balanced by numbers alone. And now everyone thinks "his" champion needs a rework, just because the meta is not in his favor. Does Renekton need a rework? Does Brand need a rework? Does Trundle need a rework? Does Ashe need a rework? Does Varus need a rework? No, at the moment they are strictly weaker than their opponents because the game itself is broken. I'd propose fixing the fundamentals of the game before touching any champion whose existence is not the problem.

If you wonder what I mean by that I am mainly concerned about the interaction between melee and ranged ADC in teamfights, which has dictated the balance of the game for years and is the primary reason that champions like Olaf feel so binary and boring (either you get that ADC or you don't), and champions like Varus and Ashe so weak in comparison to other ADCs. Yeah, give people like Tristana a slow (with redbuff), this won't break the game at all… sigh… (In a sense that every bruiser needs a gapcloser to not get kited by tristana or obscene damage to stop her damage. There's no in-between and the current meta is a direct consequence of that. Either you are a big fat badass tank that occasionally kills the enemy ADC or you have burst or you can peel for your ADC. There are no other roles in teamfights)

TL;DR: Olaf is not broken, he doesn't need fixing, it's the ADCs that need a rework.

Im talking directly about toxicity and how his kit feels. Hes weak because hes broke. Why else did they nerf him from competative play again? Adc's are strong but rhat dorsnt make olaf any less poorly designed. He got a rework an unsuccessful one

Olaf is nothing like new Sion. Sion is a close-range AOE/zone control tank; Olaf is a scrapper who needs to be constantly dealing damage to be useful. Sion's reintroduction will have approximately zero bearing on Olaf's already meager amount of playtime.

The above 2 people are clearly in the wrong, given the poll results. ;p

I really enjoy playing Olaf. He is without a doubt the champion i always have lolz with but lose no matter how the game is going.
