Warwick Ult Isn't All That OP

Okay, so ever since patch 4.20 (insert joke here), Warwick has been called for a nerf so much, and alot of this is due to his ult. The thing is, there is an easy way to counter this, and it's by the use of the active on item 3140 . The active completely negates the suppression from his ulti, thus allowing you to escape, plus Warwick has no gap closer and a small speed boost on e (mostly due to the fact that it is maxed last), so he can't chase you either. With this one item you can pretty much shut down Warwick's ganking potential in your lane. I'm just saying, before you start spamming nerf like people spam URF in comments, try using other things to counter him. Also, when Warwick ult is down and you are ranged, YOU CAN KILL HIM. Like I said, he has no gap closer, so you just cc and poke him to death. This is just some tips to try to get people to play smart over yelling at Riot that the game is unfair.

WW is very under powered now. It was the smite item that made him broken but now the smite item is useless AND they made his ult and w crappy. Thats a classic riot screw up if you ask me

Yeah, rather than try to help players handle him with tips (or tell them to look at counters for Warwick) , they just shred his abilities. Ty so much rito.

-His R is a gap closer. -You max E second, not last, Warwick is a great chaser. -If you rush QSS in lane, then yes warwick will have issues ganking, however, he won't have to gank you because your lane opponent will crush you for buying a QSS early, so moot point. -QSS removes the suppression but not the damage, hence why infinite duress was nerfed.

-I know his R is a gap closer, I meant as in he has no other -Really? I usually max q second for bonus sustain, so I can do stuff like solo baron while my team pushes mid. -Well, QSS does give magic resist as well, if you're mid this wouldn't be a terrible pick. -While the damage is high, I kind of compare the suppression without damage to something like Ziggs ult (just plain damage). You can use your abilities then to flee. Plus, idk if this is what you meant, but the cooldown was the only thing changed. Damage and suppress still the same. Tbh, I more or less made this not to defend Warwick, but to get all those spammers on the boards who complain about how Warwick should be nerfed (and just champion nerfs in general) nerfs in general) to try to come up with ways to counter them rather than give up and yell at Rito to nerf.

Personally, I put an early second point into E, then a third point once W has been maxed. After that, everything goes to Q - E is maxed dead last.

I could see that, but generall I just get q at level 4 and leave it there. I don't really go for tons of chases as Warwick, but rather ult the carry and w, and due to max w along with a crap ton of ad, the carry is dead. However, going back to my first point, people can counter him. He actually reminds me a lot of nasus: fighter/tank, lots of health, big late-game damage, and more.

I don't chase things much either, but I also don't get Q at level 4, I usually start with one point in Q, then I go W > E > W > E > R. You can stay sustained in the jungle perfectly fine with no problems with a rank one Q, and W is more important for the jungle anyways. It's nice to have that second point in E right before your first gank, it practically doubles the range, and you can just leave it at level 2 for a while. I see Q as being more important if you're going toplane WW, otherwise it's not that great, you don't need a second point that early on.

Just like to mention that warwick was called for a nerf since his ult did auto attacks, so he would use skirmisher smite on an enemy, ult them, and do about 100 true damage per auto he got, which is a lot considering he gets quite a few autos in during the ult.

Ah, okay. I was not aware of how he used the smite item. I can understand why he was nerfed, I just wanted to try and make a point to all those annoying players spamming "Omg nerf warwick" or "Why didnt u ban ww dude" on forums, comments, etc.
