Playing Zed Is Honestly Not Fun

Yes the recent patch updates make him unbearable. Yes the new meta makes him a nemesis in lane. But coming from someone who use to play Zed a lot, this champion use to be fun as hell to play (Back when he could be challenged in lane). Before Riot decided to molest every mage that countered him and their mother, it felt rewarding pulling off plays with this guy in lane. Now that Syndra, Ziggs, Kha'Zix, etc have all been made worthless playing Zed is not fun in the slightest. Yes it is true that you can pull of some "plays" it's made unsatisfying by the fact that you realize who you killed in lane couldn't do **ANYTHING **to counterplay. Zed about 6 months ago was actually rewarding because your counters could keep you on the defensive with poke and if they all in'd you then you had the potential to outplay them with your ultimate shadows ... now it's like "Hmm they're out of mana ... lol free gold" when before it was like (In my opinion) "This Syndra is going to go in on me, if I can bait her ultimate I can use my ultimate to avoid hers then quickly shadow to dodge her followup Q and or stun-knockback".

To clarify, I don't think Zed is overpowered because let's be honest these recent patch updates only ruined his counters so now he cannot be challenged in lane.

He's basically Lee Sin now ... you're not having fun playing him but you're doing it anyway because you play ranked to win.

Playing badass sounding shadow ninja is still really fun.

You aren't talking about playing him you are talking about playing as him. His kit is still just as fun as it has ever been. You just don't like playing champions that the community hates.

Its only the community on here tho. He isn't that contested or really feared or hated in LCS so they must have figured out something the cass mains on here haven't.

He's fun to play because of his kit and his theme sure, but it's not fun to simply wreck lane because the opposition has little to no options. That's the exact opposite of excitement, many players like to be challenged and lane to get that thrill when they outplay their opponents - Right now on Zed you can't really outplay someone who can't do jackshit to you in the first place.

Speak for yourself man, killing people that fast is always exciting and fun for me and the majority of players I would imagine. Sure I feel bad for the other player but it doesnt take away from my enjoyment of the character or the game or the matchup.

I guess it's what you make out of it if playing a relatively OP champ and roflstomping the typical mage bores you, entertain yourself if you're so dam OP, you can dick around and still have results
