Barely anyone in Gold and below are playing her right now. I know after the release she was being played a lot, but what's wrong with her now? Someone tell me. I think she has a great AD damage output and can team fight really well. I mean, she can team fight good as fuck. Somebody tell me why she isn't played often.

Juggernauts were a failure as a class, who were only every popular when they were broken, and very unpopular ever since. They didn't want to release another broken juggernaut, so now you have a useless champion who wont be good unless broken like the other juggernauts were.

Skarner and Morde are non existent after their short time in the light when they were strong. Garen is just as average as ever, and Darius is the only one who is kind of played.
Basically 3/4 of the juggernauts had to be legit broken to be considered good picks, Illaoi is no different.

some of them were overnerfed. otherwise there is a fuckton of cc in the game right now, in addition to overtuned marksmen (top lane graves, quinn being the worst), disengage supports like janna, lulu, nami increasing in play rate.
its just all around not a good time for them.
as far as illaoi goes, the addition of tentacle assists kindof rekt her. shes too squishy and too easily countered in teamfights.
riot doesnt stop nerfing them indirectly aswell. they lost 400 hp alone from mastery changes, and item nerfs since the start of the season (meaning 100 less shield strength on steraks on top of that) with no compensation. and theyre champions that are geared around health stacking.

she got some minor mana buffs recently, but in the same patch they added tentacle assists. id say this ended up more as a nerf overall than as a buff, since it made it so much easier to cleanse the vessel state.
