It's official. Thornmail sucks even when RAMMUS is using it. The item needs investigation.

Died as Rammus against Graves, who didn't have lifesteal OR magic resistance. All he had for survivability was a Frozen Mallet and a Phantom Dancer, which shouldn't cancel out my thorns.

My items at the time were .

Thornmail did pretty much jack-shit in the fight, and he beat me. SOMEHOW.

Now I'm convinced that Thornmail is a trap item, and I must request to Riot that they either rework the item or remove it. It's like the old Atma's Impaler, but worse by this point.

I played twitch, killed myself in under 3 seconds from just auto attacking a garen, I had item 3072 item 3153 warlords bloodlust :))

Graves is like one of the 2 situations where Thornmail isn't effective on Rammus against a ADC.

It's almost as if he had an entire item on you.

I don't understand why something happening once makes it official to you. Thornmail is still a decent item on armor tanks, and even on regular tanks in some situations.

Because I've had Thornmail suck for me multiple times, and those times weren't with Rammus. Now for the one time I get it while I AM Rammus, it STILL sucks.

Also, no, he wasn't an item up on me. We had equal items at the time he killed me.

You are neglecting to take Grave's free resists from his one ability into account. Also, was he running Warlords?

Still think Thorn should be reworked as a Diver item rather than a Tank item given that the thing actively discourages enemy champions from focusing you.
