9.18 Aatrox Build Order

With the nerfs to his wave clear and sustain, you're going to want to shift around your build.

1st - item 3071

His core. This will never change.

2nd - item 3047/item 3111 -or-item 3158

Tabi is a staple, but you'll be build more hp immediately and Lucid boots can help supplement your CDR. Build for the situation.

3rd - item 3748

Build this second to reclaim your wave clear. The stats sustain you flat instead of relying on lifesteal to survive and over all will supplement you better with Resolve as your secondary.

4th - item 3053

Boosts Hydra and provides more flat defense to get around the reduced lifesteal in your kit

5th - item 3065 -or- item 3812

Now that you're an HP tank, add the extra drain

6th - SITUATIONAL

Hang in their fellow Atrix mains!

How about, dont suggest anything, and let our champ die. Hes dead this patch, theres no sugarcoating it. .25 micro knockup is too OP apparently.

Uhhh...9.18 did not affect his healing/damage against enemy champions tho? People really need to stop over-exaggerating stuffs.

His wave clear was affected though, I think the above build path will give him back his wave clear a bit. He's still got options, he just can't do them all at once, he's got to choose. I'm with holding sounding the alarm until I get a couple games on him.

This nerf could actually be a buff for me, because I am constantly pushed up as Aatrox due to my Q hitting minion waves. With these changes I might, personally, have an easier time freezing and picking my moment better.

That healing wont matter if you cant survive lane. You would have to play catchup 24/7 just to exist.

Truth.

What I am trying to build is more regen and hp since Aatrox can't lifesteal off minions now. You can get around this nerf by having more hp and regen. Hence, item 3748 into item 3053

Core items should look something like;

item 3071 >item 3158 >item 3748 >item 3053

You get more basic sustain from hp and regen, get wave clear back since your Q is nerfed, get all -in potential that's less reliant on lifesteal and can help you survive auto attacking enemy champions and use your passive on them. CDR from boots since you lose some not building item 3812 ASAP.

Im just not gonna bother trying to adapt to this gutting. I've already dealt with the first one. Tired of them not fixing top. If pro doesnt want to adapt and add actual good counterpicks to Aatrox to their pool, then who cares. Ren already could take care of that, so could Kennen.

Also, people who main champions can feel if a nerf is gonna be enough or not to kill the champ (except Akali and Riven mains, who act like their champ is dead after every nerf she gets).
