Idea for Soraka: Can her Rejuvenation scale off HP regen bonuses?
One problem I really dislike for Soraka is that HP regen stats on items do virtually nothing for her. People just bypass the problem with Warmog's Armor, but this leads to her being an exploiter (and Riot hates item poachers). And ever since her Q got changed to the Rejuvenation mechanic, she simply cannot survive being attacked.
Riot seems to only want Soraka to heal herself by taking risks rather than being passive, which Warmog's tends to undermine. My thought is that Soraka needs more reason to get HP regen from support items rather than going with that Warmog's exploit, but Riot seems to think such an idea would make her toxic in lane again.
How about this, though: What if HP regen bonuses from her items improved the healing she gets from Rejuvenation?
This way, if she really wants to put that regen to use, she's gotta land her Q's. But if she does land her Q's, she gets considerably more health back once she's built up some items. Risk/reward, right?
"Putting this on live would be broken!"
You assume the values would not be adjusted accordingly. I assume Riot would reduce the base values of Rejuvenation a bit (i.e. to 10/12/14/16/18 health per second instead of 14/16/18/20/22 per second) to compensate for the improvement, but the payoff would be that Soraka wouldn't get less value out of support itemization.
"Why do this?"
I want to try and move Soraka players away from building Warmog's Armor, as her abuse of it could get the item nerfed eventually and she shouldn't need to resort to a tank item just to stay alive. But simply increasing her base HP regen isn't allowed, so having bonus HP regen boost her Rejuvenation would be a good alternative.
Could this work?
should work on her Q self-heal, no? So she's already been buffed on that area recently.
is bad on Soraka because the Harmony passive (gain % bonus HP regen equal to your % bonus mana regen) doesn't help her.
