Ekko vs Yasuo Question...

So late game (at full build) is Ekko pretty much not going to out trade Yasuo after if he builds a Spirit Visage/Merc. scem + Merc. Treads...? I was wondering because Yasuo is my "best" champion and even though I've learned how to play the Ekko - Yasuo match up as both champions, playing as Ekko feels much more hopeless in a duel (per say we encounter each other in lane and he/I engage. Well at least as he gets items specifically around the time that Yasuo buys a spirit visage or Banshee's Veil.

The last few experiences I've had from this perspective would either be Me (Ekko) losing lane to him ect. or I outplay or kill him early to mid game and when we've both hit full build (assuming he built a defensive MR item) it seemed like i wasnt doing any abusable or even noticable damage to him. Is it really that bad of a match up for Ekko later on? Even if i managed to land both parts of Ekkos Q on him attempting to wittle him down and then proceeding to use my ult offensively the result seemed the same. I'm just very curious as i haven't done this match up in a while now as Ekko and it is part of the reason i dont play him as much even though I'd like to. Should i be building a defensive item (Sunfire, Randuin's Omen) in this match up? Or should i just hope that he doesn't find me alone late game xD?

My build for Yasuo (building against Ekko) is usually Shiv < Infinity Edge < QSS(Merc Scem.) < Mortal Reminder < Spirit visage < Merc. treads.

My build for Ekko against Yasuo is usually < Lichbane < Zhonya's < Rylais < Deathcap < Ludens < Ninja tabi.

What am i doing wrong as Ekko? I find the match up not too difficult as Yasuo but I'm stumped on what to do as Ekko...? Thank you by the way!

Yas has the advantage bc of his windwall, and superior melee dmg. Figuring there are so many other mids that are great against Yas, I would leave Ekko on the sidelines for this one.

you build ekko full tank. and then you can 1v1 yasuo. ekko should not be built ap. ekko should be built full tank with 1 attack speed item. rageblade probably a good choice. if you jungle then devoure. which is what i do. devoure full tank ekko.

build these if your jungle item 1415 item 3047 item 3143 item 3742 item 3065 item 3083

you win with some kiting with Q. anyway he loses most of his health with the 3rd proc. devoure proc. and thunderlords. literally around 50% of a squishy health in 2 Q procs . thunderlords. and his E .

replace devoure with rageblade if your mid lane. however you probably have a much better chance with devoure as both your passive will proc every 2nd attack. twice for the W passive every second attack means he instantly dies if hes below 30% health

yasuo destroys any squishy champion that doesn't burst him from a range. especially ones that build ap because they are reliant on projectiles and generally have longer cooldowns than his autos lmao

Why shouldnt i build him AP though? Personally i enjoy blowing up teams with his ult + passive..

oh well you should know that being squishy means getting killed faster. since ekko is mele its better to build him tank. outside of his ult his ap scalings aren't all that great. i usually do the most damage on my team full tank with ekko

It's actually pretty fair, ekko is a champion who ties in almost all match up in terms of "fairness" hes a champion who is about your knowledge of the match up and trades. It also might be the masteries you take, for example if you E, Insta Q, then proc your third hit on your passive, to then proc thunder lords, while landing ur second q, you can many times kill yasuo and any laner at level two with ekko.

Yas knows if you lead with E to instantly drop wall. If you lead Q not only will Yas block it hitting him, he will block it from hitting minions and slow your income. It is a tough go for Ekko.

one is a skill shot that takes time to cast one is a insta cast, wind wall can be walked around, once he drops the wall after u E him, walk around the wall, throw down the Q.

I will try it, but I still think its a tough lane. Thanks.

i think ekko does and should lose to yasou 1v1 cause ekko has better teamfight utility and alot of saftey. but then again i still think both of them have overbearing things in their kits

yasuo being op is nothing new, but ekko is not a champ suitable for mid, he is better off top and jg.
