So he's not dominating worlds or challenger laning scene obviously, but what are peoples general opinions of playing lane against him?

For the longest time, even pre-rework I've felt like his bleed is extremely oppressive in trades and post re-work you basically have to B if he combos you with a pull.

When I lane against Darius I feel like no matter what positive things I do a single pull lets him win lane and snowball. The whole "outer ring" of his Decimate is basically forcing you to either eat his W again and get full blood stacked from attacks, or get crushed by the heavier damage and pulled trying to run away. I don't even want to talk about his ultimate because after he's ahead its complete overkill.

He's annoying in lane and against anyone who doesn't know how to deal with him, but that's about it.

He is a champion I probably have to put some time into learning. Considering I generally play fairly passively in laning phase, I'm not really accustomed to forcing early all-in fights or playing champions that are quite so vulnerable to ganks.

I feel like he's super annoying, but because he isn't used in competitive he wont see any nerfs. I personally think Pantheon is a worse problem but he probably won't see any nerfs either. I think if they make it so stuns interrupt his channeling he would feel a lot better when laning against.

He is a lanebully, and to play him in lane is braindead, but once you come in teamfights, its takes skill to play, the only way to deal damage is to stack your passive, but with the armor penetration amd rylaz so good is difficult.

Btw, if you play toplane and you are blindpicking, just ban him.

darius is much easier to outplay compared to Illaoi Jayce Mordekaiser in lane.

Respect his level 3, his level 1 cheese isnt as amazing as many people think they just misplay it.

His level 6 is a decent power spike.

If you're playing a tank, accept the fact that he'll always outduel you at every point of the game, it's part of the nature of juggernauts. If you're a fighter like renekton, riven, jax, trundle, etc. there are certain times where you can force good trades. When his apprehend or decimate is on cd is a good time (decimate has a short cd but apprehend is 20+second cd level 1 and doesnt get maxed first).

Tl;DR no tank in the game can duel darius, just dont even try it. Fighters can duel him. If you're a tank, ask for ganks and take advantage of your abundant cc to lock him down for the 2 v 1.
