You could have EASILY released her today, and then released her skin with the snowdown event. I really don't understand the thought process behind this. It feels like you deliberately have her locked to torture people that were excited to play her today.

Could be, but most of the ones I remember you have to wait. Maybe day of patch, but it's not "I Patched" Champion there. Especially look at Kindred. That and every single release there's always posts like this "WHERE NEW CHAMP! GAAAAAAAA" so...
